🇸🇬 Day 2 Singapore - Part 2

Second half of the day spent in the Gardens by the Bay. Beautiful gardens stretched under a large dome, interactive 4D movies, indoor waterfalls, light shows performed by giant flower like towers and Singapore slings at the garden bar. Too many beautiful pictures to put into one. by @illitravel

🇯🇵 Day 2 Japan -

Ski day!

Spent the entire day skiing through the Hakuba mountains, and I only ate shit twice by @illitravel

🇺🇸 Day 11 Hawaii -

Final day. Zip lining 160ft up through 9 different lines over canyons and waterfalls. We were hoping to swim in the waterfalls but the bacteria level was too high, so we were left to zipline in the heat.

After, we went to the statue of their first King, or Kamehameha, and finished the day with our final water sunset view. by @illitravel

🇺🇸 Day 10 Hawaii -

Back to the Waipio Valley, but this time we went on a tour through the valley itself. Due to the treacherous roads and cliffs to get into the valley, it was closed to the public, however can still be accessed through guided tours.

The Valley is full of wild horses, dogs and pigs, all of which like to come say hi as you pass through. At the base of the valley is a 3 mile long Beach that was where Waterworld was filmed, "Dry Land!".

After some games of trying to knock a lure out of a tree with the river rocks, we stopped for some Hawaiian pineapple lemonade that we shared with the ducks. by @illitravel

🇺🇸 Day 9 Hawaii -

Beaches of all colours! We headed to the Southern-most point of the USA where the sand is green! Swimming in what the Americans called "rough riptides" (none would survive a day in Australia), we spent about 2 hours at the olive green beach. To get down to the beach, it's either a 5km hike each way or you can pay to get someone to drive you through the trenches in a beat-up Ute with the seatbelts and screwdrivers holding the doors closed, clutch smoking the whole way and the driver 100% high on something unknown. Of course we went with this option, because who wants to hike. We made a little turtle and obviously manifested the real ones to come, because shortly after 2 swam close to shore.

We then went further around the island to Punalu'u black sand beach, which was much more rocky but still a beautiful swim. by @illitravel

🇺🇸 Day 8 Hawaii -

Full day snorkelling. We spent 6 hours going down the whole coast of the big island on our own boat, swimming through every reef we could.

We saw the mountain that inspired Te Fiti from Moana, the point of death for Captain Cook and other sacred burial sites for the Hawaiians. Although there wasn't many fish around, the water was super clear and the coral was beautiful.

We finished the trip on the water watching the sunset over the water. by @illitravel

🇺🇸 Day 7 Hawaii -

14,000 feet up on the tallest mountain/volcano in the world when measured from its base on the ocean floor (over 33,000 feet). We spent the night stargazing, seeing the Northern hemisphere's astronomical wonders including the big dipper, the summer triangle, alpha centauri and the whirlpool galaxies. Seeing constellations and stars we can't from home was amazing, including virgo, polaris and altair and scorpio (or mauis hook).

Before this, we started the day with some snorkeling but it was overshadowed by the beautiful night sky up on Mauna Kea. by @illitravel

🇺🇸 Day 6 Hawaii -

Side-by-side trip in the Waipi'o Valley. This valley was closed to the public due to erosion and landslide risks, only allowing locals to travel through, however with specific tours you can drive around the beautiful area and farms around.

We spent the day travelling through the farm, looking for the different wildlife from pigs to dogs, horses and mongoose, catching some talapia in the farm ponds. by @illitravel

🇺🇸 Day 5 Hawaii -

Off to the end of the world. The 9 meter drop of the ledge into a cavernous pool was absolutely beautiful (even if I did slap the water on the way down...). Dad came here 30 years ago and jumped from a higher ledge that now has a tree blocking it, so the lower jump for us it is. We even had an audience watching from a boat below as we jumped.

We went to a surf beach and did some shopping in the local area, finding some clothes whose message really resonated with me. by @illitravel

🇺🇸 Day 4 Hawaii -

Kilauea volcano. We drove 2 hours across the island to see the erupting volcano which goes off almost every week for a few hours each time. We got really lucky to time our trip with the eruption and be able to see the spouting lava.

We finished the day doing a second manta tour which had less mantas than the first and was full of algae but was still amazing to see. by @illitravel

🇺🇸 Day 3 Hawaii -

Spent the morning lazing by the pool and beaches around the island, preparing for the 9pm night swim with manta rays.

Once in the water, we were immediately greeted by multiple fish and other sea life. With only the light from the board illuminating our view, we swam further into the darkened water. We began to see some mantas, and then were bombarded with them, unable to look without seeing at least two within "licking distance"; as our guide liked to say.

They spent the next 40 minutes swirling around us and the board, scooping the plankton that engulfed us. Shortly after we heard the clicking of dolphins and 2 came into view chasing a fish under our feet. Multiple sharks, including black tipped and a 6ft reef shark, swam below, all as the mantas still wrapped their wings around us. by @illitravel
