Probably one of my favorites now, what do you think? 👀 Granada’s Old Railway Station is one of the few buildings I’ve illustrated that still looks similar to its original design, despite being built 142 years ago, in 1882.

• Home of Nicaraguan folklore, the Rubén Darío National Theater is also a landmark of modern architecture in Central America. One more jewel of Eclectic architecture can be found in another Nicaraguan city, Diriamba. Located in the beautiful colonial city of Granada, and surrounded by many buildings of great architectural, cultural and historical value, the Plaza de La Independencia also houses one of the most beautiful cathedrals in the country, the Granada Cathedral. The construction of this cathedral began in 1880, to be completed in its entirety in 1972. Its neoclassical design is a sample of the architectural gems that can be found in this city. Declared a World Heritage Site in 2011, and built between the 18th and 19th centuries, the Cathedral of the Assumption of Mary, also known as "Cathedral of Light", was designed by the Guatemalan architect Diego de Porres. Whether you go hiking, swimming or by canoe, visiting the Somoto Canyon will always be an unforgettable adventure. I took the original photo some years ago, but it had rained the night before and the water didn’t have its regular green color… I’ve always felt like the photo just doesn’t do it justice, so I’m glad I finally made this illustration.
Can’t say what I like the most about this one, if it’s the place, its colors, or what… 😍 by @illusture
