❤️‍🔥Brilliant ILY2 edit done by @kevinore42 Adam and i were watching working girl and he was like “we should make a video that’s all samples of people saying i love you too” (it was when harrison finally tells melanie he loves her too. SO! kevin is a magical human who has an extensive VHS collection of recorded commercials, movies, you name it. He combed thru everything and put a few of these together and they are so delightful! thank you @kevinore42 and HAPPY ANNIVERSARY ILY2 💜 by @ily2.ily2
💖 Right now I’m reflecting on so many things— how many incredible people i have worked with, the tears generated by both stress and joy, and the pride that comes from my child watching me build something, as I then watch them carve out their own space within that new thing. I’m meditating on shared tender moments in ILY2’s first iteration on Oak St. (many of them with the early artists featured in the highlight reels above.) I can still feel the devastating impact of the break-in that forced me out of that space, and the enduring, transcendent love of community that leveled me up into my current home in NW. From that same love, I doubled down with the mall space @ILY2Too and I just… I truly can’t believe what we have built together! And while I understand the temporal nature of physical spaces all too well— though in my dreams this particular one will outlive me— what I really want is to help generate a cultural shift in the contemporary art world that *lasts.* Not a trend but a sea change. I believe art environments should be great equalizers, dissolving the membrane between the work and the audience. I want everyone to know they can really BE with art— be welcomed by it, connect to it, in any setting, regardless of previous relationship to it (or perceived lack thereof.) I want to lead with hospitality. I want to show art can be the most raw and primal and potently revealing elixir. For anyone. I want to shirk any cold commercialization or elitism that might be associated with the contemporary art world and replace it with curiosity and indeed, LOVE. I’m in love with this project and my expanding family, and I know this poem could go on forever, so I just want to say ✨THANK YOU✨ Thank you to everyone intimately involved and thank you to every human that has ever even briefly touched ILY2 in some way. I want to hug this entire project.  I also want to try and honor the memory of every emotional and physical brick that has gone into it so far, so if you have any special ILY2 moments please dm me or share in comments! Again, because I can’t say it enough… Thank you. -Allie Furlotti, Founder, ILY2 & ILY2 Too 💕 by @ily2.ily2

Artist Catherine Telford Keogh (@catherinetelfordkeogh) joins artist and Rail contributor Gaby Collins-Fernandez (@gmercedescf) on Tuesday (10/20) for a conversation on the occasion of FEED at ILY2 New York (@ily2.ily2). Telford Keogh will discuss how the works on view reflect an ongoing interest in labor and industrial efficiency, the messier questions they ask about how bodies are forced to adapt to rhythms imposed on them, how we learn to see something as "clean" or "dirty," and how much goes unaccounted in the futile pursuit to catalog ourselves and our surroundings. You can register for this conversation on our events page linked in our bio. And you can see FEED on view through October 24th. #catherinetelfordkeogh #ILY2 #contemporaryart @teigerfoundation #MarionBoultonKippyStroudFoundation by @ily2.ily2
