this one was for me, forever THAT girl 🥇 i had me such a time, a grateful girl ✨ #nycmarathon #salvadoreña #yonkers by @imariaalfaro

My longest dance yet at the biggest block party in the world! 💃🏻 THE NYC MARATHON, 26.2 miles 🎉

I had me such a time during my first EVER marathon, in one of my favorite cities! 🗽

For those of you who know my story, you know that since I was a little girl, life has dealt me some cards that most would not survive. Time after time, life has knocked me down and time after time, God has helped me get back up 💪🏼

There have been no shortage of hard moments which have been out of my control. But this hard? This was the hardest thing I never had to do and I chose it. I did it for me, for the little girl in me who didn’t have a choice. WE did this! 🥹

Huge THANK YOU to all who cheered me on from near and far, in person or in spirit. I love you all and your support means more than you will ever know! ❤️

To the best team in the world, @yonkersrunningproject I would not have been able to get this far without the kindness and care that is shared amongst us 🖤 love ya’ll fam! by @imariaalfaro

26.2 miles. One paso at a time. 🏃‍♀️🧡

TODAY, our very own Founder & CEO, Maria Alfaro, is taking on her first-ever marathon at the 2026 NYC Marathon! 🗽

For Maria, this journey is more than crossing a finish line. It’s about showing up for herself, embracing challenges, and living out something she’s always believed in: movement is medicine.

She’s spent years encouraging our community to take that first paso toward their well-being, and now she’s taking 26.2 miles of her own.

Help us cheer Maria on as she takes on this incredible milestone! 🧡

Today is World Mental Health Day and also our very own One Paso day in Westchester County 🧡

Today we shed light on the importance of mental wellness but let’s keep the conversations, culture and connections going every day porque la Cultura Cura!™️ ✨ by @imariaalfaro

Meaningful conversations build connection—and connection builds trust 🧡

Our Founder and CEO, Maria Alfaro, joined Westchester Medical Center’s Community Conversation | Voices, Trust, and Health panel a few weeks ago to talk about meeting our communities in ways that feel familiar, culturally relatable, and welcoming.

Feeling seen and understood can make all the difference in taking that first step toward support. 👣

A big shoutout and thank you to the WMCHealth team and fellow panelists for a thoughtful, engaging conversation:

✨ Leo Bodden, MBA, CHCIO, CDH-E, CCIE, Executive Vice President & Chief Digital Transformation Officer, WMCHealth
✨ Alejandro Cintrón Carrasco, MPA, Executive Director, New York State Office of Language Access
✨ Bianca Stifani, MD, MPH, FACOG, Section Chief, Complex Family Planning, and Vice Chair of Research, OB-GYN, WMCHealth

We’re grateful to share space and ideas on how we can better connect with and care for our communities!
