“One last trip to the ballpark. ❤️ ⚾️ Mom loved the giants, so today we saved her a seat.” This one’s for you Mom. @phidelt49 by @imjustben916
Plot twist…I never left!! Started the next chapter of my life today. Went from saluting to “per my last email.” Excited for what’s next and thankful for the opportunity 🙏 🔥 🚒 by @imjustben916
With a happy heart I say, today officially I will never wear the uniform again. First and foremost I want to thank my family @phidelt49 and my parents for being flexible. Missing holidays, missing birthdays, moving around their schedules to fit my life. I want to thank my wife @lyzzalou who continues to support me and every decision that we make together as a team, you are my rock. To everyone else, I could only tag 20 people in the post but there are so many more I want to thank. @brent.v.watkins1980 you are still to this day who I tried to be as an NCO, you set the tone for my career and words cannot express how much you guided me in my life. @mmcge005 @nielsen.eric1 thank you for inviting me into your home and allowing me to always be the plus 1 on your family adventures when I had no one to celebrate holidays with. To everyone else in italy…it was a ride and an experience I will remember forever. To all the people of Travis…something here is special. Almost everyone I will talk to for the rest of my life I’ve met here. You guys married me, stood next to me at my wedding and continue to make me laugh everyday. You taught me how to be a great NCO, firefighter, and even more importantly a man. To those who i deployed with….there is a special bond you have with someone knowing if shit hits the fan they have your back. When the moments got the darkness you were always there with a witty joke or something to bring out the laughter. I can not thank everyone enough for the experience you have given me. Managing people is by far the hardest job in the world. I wish I had a crystal ball that told me how that decision would play out. But i didn’t and hopefully you understood I was making the best decision for you and the Air Force. For those who invested their own time in me showing me the way and sharing their knowledge over these past 15 years, thank you. Hope to see y’all again. 🫡 by @imjustben916

Married my best friend today. 🥂 by @imjustben916
No one warns you that when you wake up one day it’s going to be the worst day of your life. 9 days from today is going to be the happiest day of my life. But one big person is going to be missing. I was lucky that I was able to talk to her and say goodbye and she was able to give me a sign that she heard us. Anyone that knows me knows how much my mom meant to me in my life. So if I don’t respond to anyone for a while, I’m okay i need time to figure some stuff out. I wasn’t going to make this post, but through this shitty process I heard stories about my mom that I have never heard and I realized other people got a different version of my mom. So what I ask is..if you have a great memory, or a story, or something about all the things she made or ways she has helped you. I would love to hear it. Either through a comment or a private message. Thank you. by @imjustben916
She said yes! Thank you everyone who helped. @lyzzalou by @imjustben916
