The year that changed my life.

From the end of September 26th, 2024 to October 2, 2025, I went on a journey that transformed every inch of me.

I’m still ZVG. Still the dreamer. Still the friend who’ll support you from here to the moon and back. But this journey unlocked a completely different level of understanding of what it really means to be human.

I know I speak from a place of privilege being able to say I visited 50 countries in one year. But what this experience taught me is that no matter where you are, no matter how or why you got there—you can always bring value. You can always connect. You can always find your place.

Not because the world caters to you, but because you control your energy. And the world responds to what you give it.

The biggest lesson? What you give determines how much you can receive.

So to anyone out there searching for your next idea, your next step, your next chapter—go after that thing that’s been sitting in your soul. The one that feels impossible but keeps calling your name.

Let it take you on the journey that shows you what freedom really is. Let it reveal the vision the universe has for you.

Because that’s what 50 countries in one year did for me. So let your dream do it for you too.

Treat me well Marrakech. I’m excited to get to know you.

Just touched down into Marrakech and decided to stay in the Gueliz neighborhood. From what I was told and researched, this was the best place for nomads who are interested in working out of cafes, being near action and restaurants.

As a solo traveler I like to have access and convenience so that I can mange to keep up with my routine, get work done and still have accessibility to explore the city. Over the next 3 days I’ll be highlighting some restaurants, doing some sightseeing with friends and sharing what I feel about this cool ass city. So follow along.

Have you ever stayed in Gueliz? What do you love most about Marrakech?

I’m a Capricorn ☀️ and a Sagittarius 🌙. So it’s really all gotta make sense. 🌍

After traveling to 65 countries, I’ve learned to ask myself three questions before deciding where to go next, especially while living the life of a digital nomad.

1. What’s the weather like?
2. Is this destination affordable for my current situation? Whether I’m looking for luxury, adventure, or somewhere in between, am I getting the most value for my money?
3. How far do I have to travel to get there, and is the experience worth the potential impact on my health, time, and energy?

For me, traveling smarter means thinking about the return on my time, money, energy, and experiences.

Because the goal isn’t just to see more of the world. I plan on seeing it all eventually anyway. 😂

The goal is to enjoy more of my life while doing it.

What’s the first thing you consider when choosing your next destination?

If I had to pick a country to experience something specific, here’s where I would go.

After traveling for the past 6 years I realized that every destination has something to offer or it’s “thing”. Some places are dope for shopping, some for food, some are great for getting healthy.

Which ones do you agree with or most surprised by? Save this for your next trip brainstorm and share with a friend who is trying to take a dope vacation!

Day 11. From Spain to Munich: Hosting Friends & Planning the Ultimate Lions Game Trip

There’s nothing like getting better with your family, especially when you’re traveling the world together. 🌍💪🏾

No matter where I am in the world, whether it’s Asia, Europe, South America, Africa, or Australia, one thing I always prioritize is my health.

Eating clean, taking a day to cook a home-cooked meal, hitting the gym, or running through a new city are all ways I stay active while traveling.

The last thing you want on a trip is to get sick or injured, so I try to be as preventative as possible. And when I get to bring my family and friends along for that wellness journey, even better.

Two travel fitness hacks I swear by:

🏋🏾 Budget $15–$40 for gym access. Many gyms offer free trials or day passes for around $8–$15. You don’t need a full membership to get a good workout in.

🏃🏾 If a city is walkable, chances are it’s runnable. Running through new neighborhoods is one of my favorite ways to explore, understand my surroundings, and feel a little more like a local.

But the best part of staying active while traveling is the people you meet along the way.

Sharing high fives on a running path, spotting someone in the gym, or simply showing love to somebody putting in work can go a long way. I’ve made some of my best friends through fitness, even while abroad.

Your priorities don’t have to change just because your location does. In fact, those same priorities can be what connects you to new places, new people, and like-minded spirits.

So if you’re active, keep getting it in. And I’ll see you in a gym somewhere around the world. 🌍💪🏾

Day 7 of 100. Travel Design.

#newbusiness #announcement by @imonthegogh

Growing up around bakers, I never realized how much of home I’d carry with me around the world.

My mom has had a baking business since I was a kid, and my aunt still bakes almost every week. Pound cakes, chocolate cakes, cookies, pies, cake pops. You name it, somebody in my family can make it.

And the funny thing is, no matter where I travel, I somehow ALWAYS find my way to the pastries. 😂

I’ve started to realize that so much of how we experience the world is shaped by the things we grew up around.

For me, food has become one of the most fascinating ways to understand culture. How people create, how they gather, how they share traditions, and how something as simple as a pastry can tell a story about where someone comes from.

Here in Tirana, Albania, I visited Pastiçeri Reka, a historic pastry shop founded in 1924.

Today, I tried tullumba, a syrup-soaked fried pastry popular throughout the Balkans.

At first, I thought the shit was a churro. 😂

But one bite and I realized I was experiencing something completely different.

And that’s what I love about traveling.

Sometimes the things that look the most familiar have the most to teach us.

Different ingredients, traditions, techniques, and histories can turn something you think you know into something entirely new.

And maybe that’s one of the greatest gifts of exploring the world. You start to recognize pieces of home everywhere you go, while discovering just how differently other people experience those same things.

So try the pastry. Eat the local food. Explore the traditions.

You never know what something familiar might teach you about a place you’ve never been.

So far, Japan and Albania are battling for my favorite countries for sweets.

What’s yours?

One of the things that has stayed with me most in my time in Vietnam is the creativity.

This is a place where people build. They manufacture. They make things by hand. They can take an idea and turn it into something custom in a matter of days, sometimes hours.

And the cocktail scene feels like an extension of that same creativity.

@workshop14.hanoi was one of those places where it showed up in almost every detail.

The aesthetics of the space. The way people were seated to actually have conversations. The shape of the glasses. The diversity and politeness of the staff. And, of course, the drinks themselves.

Each cocktail felt like it had a story behind it. And depending on how you looked at it, you could probably walk away with a completely different interpretation.

To me, that’s art.

And that’s what Workshop 14 felt like.

It’s on Asia’s 50 Best Bars list for a reason, but what stayed with me most wasn’t the ranking. It was the energy, the intention, and the feeling of the place.

And according to my friend Sunny, the cocktails were simply damn good. As someone who doesn’t drink, I can say the mocktails held their own too.

If you’re in Hanoi, give Workshop 14 a visit for the experience alone.

What’s a place you’ve visited where the creativity of the space stayed with you afterward?
