🖤💀 La Catrina — the elegant skull that has become one of the most powerful symbols of Día de los Muertos. First imagined by Mexican artist José Guadalupe Posada in the early 1900s, she was created to remind us that no matter our status in life, we are all equal in death. Over time, La Catrina transformed into the iconic figure we see today — dressed in beauty, adorned with flowers, and painted with intricate calavera makeup.

On Día de los Muertos, Las Catrinas represent more than just art — they embody tradition, remembrance, and a celebration of life after death. 🌺🕯️ They honor the spirits of our loved ones, showing us that death is not the end, but a continuation of the story.
Big Shout out to our Beautiful Catrina @anel_anaya_
Today, Las Catrinas walk with grace, carrying the legacy of ancestors, and reminding us to live fully, love deeply, and always remember those who came before us. 🖤🌼
We are definitely ready for El Día De Los Muertos✨💀

Día De Los Muertos Portrait Session ✨🥀
With the beautiful @_deedeecaballero & FujifilmX100VI 📸

A huge thank you to Blissful & Blessed Unions + Casa Luna Gardens DFW for allowing me to be part of this epic celebration.

In honoring Día de los Muertos, we not only celebrated death but also life. Her flowing white wedding gown became a symbol of purity and renewal, while the delicate mesh veil over her face reflected both vulnerability and connection to her surroundings.

La cempasúchil, con su vibrante color naranja, guía a los recuerdos y almas queridas, iluminando el camino entre la vida y la muerte.

Through this tradition, we are reminded that life and death walk hand in hand—each giving meaning to the other. 🌹💀✨

Fort Worth Texas had one of the most beautiful Catrina contest I have yet to see I’m so glad I got to be a part of this beautiful festival here in Fort Worth. The ladies put on a show. I am so ready for Dia de los Muertos to put up my altar and shout out to every other photographer that was out there putting in that work I have never seen so many people attend one festival. I hope I find something like this here in Dallas, Texas. I will definitely join!

Where talent is often misunderstood and gifts get lost in some of the city’s most troubled neighborhoods, countless artists are still fighting to be seen and heard.

Some have made it out of the city, while so many others are still here, right in the heart of South Dallas.

I share a deep connection with this place, carrying beautiful memories alongside some of the most dangerous ones. I’ve witnessed the talent firsthand — some are still here, and others are no longer around.

I pray for greatness over every artist still chasing their vision. May they be discovered, may their gifts reach the world, and may they build careers filled with abundance, purpose, and opportunity.

There is so much talent here that the world has yet to see. 🌍🙏🏽

⭐🎢 Dallas | State Fair of Texas 🎡⭐

The Texas Longhorns played Oklahoma yesterday, October 10, at the State Fair of Texas in the Cotton Bowl for the Red River Rivalry. 🏈 Unfortunately, we took an L! They say yesterday was the busiest day at the fair. After the game was over, everyone came down. It was honestly epic! 🔥 Everyone was great, awesome, and beautiful. The night was incredible, and don’t forget, Paul Wall performed! 🎤⭐

we’re frame by frame time sit still in a time we’re real and fake meet,
when real life and reality shatters.
It’s the point when people forget the path and their roots.
It’s the time you sit in silence and just really take in beautiful art made by people like you and me.💚♥️ by @imperiopixs
