Are you craving some me-time but don’t have many hours for yourself? ⏱️
We all know the struggle. As beautiful and joyful as crocheting is, slow crafting also means a lot of time investment. 🧵
That’s why I created this micro crochet pattern bundle of ocean inspired jewelry, which is now available on Etsy and Ravelry. Comment ‘treasure’ and I’ll send you the link. 🪎

Luckily, I had a bunch of wonderful pattern testers who helped me improve the quality of these patterns and make them even easier to understand and follow. A huge 💜thank you 💙 to:

Maybe you need little reminders to remember how relaxing a crochet evening can be. 🌅
These 3 bracelets are perfect crochet ideas if you are like me and want to make the season last longer by bringing a touch of summer aesthetic into autumn. 🌊

Maybe you’re even already creating your next vacation style: (I’d love that so much!)
These crochet patterns help you create beautiful handcrafted jewelry that brings a proper amount of ocean vibes into your life. ✨

Make them for yourself if you love mermaidcore styles or piratecore accessories, or use them even as inspiration for unique gifts for your boyfriend or husband (we all know it can be hard finding crochet gifts for him 😉). 🎁

If you are a crochet artist and are ready to create your own crochet bracelets with this pattern bundle, I’d love to see what you’ve created. There’s always a special joy in seeing what you guys create from my patterns. 🥰 by @improchet

For a long time, I believed that real artists were born geniuses. ✨

The kind of people who invent something completely new and extraordinary.
And because of that… I often felt like I didn’t belong in that world. 💔

Music has always been a huge part of my life. 🎶
But instead of confidence, it often left me feeling like I wasn’t good enough.
Like I lacked talent.
Like I had to hide the things I couldn’t do.

Then something changed when I discovered crocheting.
For the first time, not knowing something didn’t feel like failure.
It felt like curiosity.
Instead of feeling insecure, I started researching.
Instead of hiding my mistakes, I started learning from them.
Instead of giving up, I kept improving. 🌅

And somewhere along that journey, I learned one of the most important lessons about creativity.
You don’t have to reinvent the wheel to be creative.
Creativity begins with learning your craft.
Learning techniques.
Understanding materials.
Collecting tips and tricks from others. 🪄

And slowly, step by step, you start adding your own details and ideas.
Over time something magical happens:
Your style starts to emerge.
Something that is unmistakably yours. 💜

Even the greatest artists in the world didn’t start at the top.
Behind every success story there are years of learning, experimenting, failing, and trying again. 💪

Creativity is not reserved for geniuses.
It’s a journey.
A mix of effort, passion, time, mistakes, curiosity, and growth.
And if you feel that creative fire inside you…
you’re allowed to follow it. 🔥

In a couple of weeks I’ll release my first DIY crochet kits and continue creating tutorials on YouTube.
My biggest hope is that they inspire someone else to start their own creative journey too. 🧵⛵️

Because creativity doesn’t belong to a chosen few.
It belongs to anyone willing to learn. 💙

If this resonates with you, save this post or share your own creative journey in the comments. I’d love to hear it. ⬇️

Sometimes our creative journey takes us to unexpected places. 🏝️
We look up to other creative people and wonder how they found their signature style so quickly, but we don’t see the true story behind it. 🧭

My crochet path probably began like it did for many people. I started with bigger crochet hook sizes, using common cotton yarn, and fell in love with fluffy chenille yarn. 🪝☁️

But when I had the idea to make a crochet bracelet and discovered that crochet jewelry was actually a thing, that’s when my crochet jewelry went in a whole new direction.
All of a sudden, it clicked, and it instantly felt like my thing. 🧵💜

That’s when I started creating crochet patterns and had countless ideas for small crochet projects. 🪎

And because my passion for this art is so big, I want to inspire others to dive into the world of micro crochet, too.Without pressure or frustration. Experiment with crochet hook sizes and materials. Express yourself with your own DIY jewelry. Create anything from bold statement rings to delicate crochet earrings. ✨

This isn’t about trying to turn you all into pro micro crocheters. It’s about encouraging you to live your creativity. So, follow me if you want to sail along on this crochet journey. ⛵️💙 by @improchet

It’s funny how sometimes in life the things we want least turn out to be way more fun than we expected. 🪎
I started designing crochet jewelry because I’ve always had this love for tiny, detailed work ever since I was a kid.
So when I discovered micro crochet, I was instantly thrilled and I wanted to share my passion with as many people as possible. 🧵💜
But when I learned how many crocheters out there are actually interested in tiny crochet hook sizes but also very intimidated, I knew what I had to do. 🧭
I had to upsize to take away your fear of the downsizing process. So I took some of my crochet patterns and turned them into different DIY jewelry pieces, from a bold crochet bracelet made with a 4 mm crochet hook to a delicate crochet ring made with a 0.6 mm hook. 💍
And that’s when I realized that my small crochet projects are fun to make with so many different hook sizes. 🪝
And now that you know how much I love using all the sizes there are, I’d also love to know: What’s currently your favorite crochet hook size? 👇 by @improchet

I’ve always loved jewelry with a special meaning. DIY jewelry that has a story feels like a magical trinket with a hidden message. 🪎
Even during the times when I was a jewelry collector and had so many pieces I couldn’t even count, I loved wearing pieces that meant something to me. 💜
And even without that deeper meaning, I still love creating crochet jewelry and crochet patterns, because it’s such a beautiful art form to express myself and wear my own style. 💍
And that’s why I want to inspire you to experiment with crochet hook sizes and dive into the world of micro crochet. My patterns are more than small crochet projects. 💫
They are your key to a hidden treasure chest full of inspiring ideas to turn ordinary crochet earrings into accessories that suit your personal style. Instead of making an ordinary crochet bracelet, you’ll have many ideas for add-ons that turn it into a secret holder of memories. 🌅
There are so many ways of putting your own signature into your crochet pieces, and I invite you to sail along on this DIY journey. ⛵️
And now I’m curious: What does a crochet pattern need to have to be interesting to you? 👇 by @improchet

One of the biggest burdens of creative people is having more ideas than time to bring every project idea to life. 🪎
I think most of us are collectors of materials, crochet patterns and unfortunately WIPs that might or might not be finished one day.
So let’s face those piles of projects that are stealing room in our drawers. 🧵
By clearing out your small crochet projects, you won’t only make space in your storage spaces but also in your mind, and be ready for new projects like crochet jewelry, patterns for different crochet hook sizes or micro crochet. 🪝🧶✨
How many WIPs are in your pile right now? 👇 by @improchet

One of the most powerful aspects of being a creative person is the power of inspiration. ✨

I enjoy making my crochet jewelry and I love wearing my very own crochet earrings and creating a crochet bracelet stack that truly feels like me. 🧵🪎

But there’s something extra special about creating crochet patterns so that you can make my DIY jewelry too. 💙

It feels like something bigger to encourage people to give micro crochet a chance. And it gives my small crochet projects a deeper meaning when I can pass on my wisdom. 💫

So, if you feel ready for tiny crochet hook sizes, come over to YouTube and learn first-hand from Captain Slipstitch herself. ⚓️

We all know those crocheters whose home looks like a yarn store. Or are YOU that person yourself? 🧵💜
That’s one of the reasons why I love crochet jewelry so much. It is the perfect craft to use all the things you’ve purchased for no reason, just because you loved them so much. 🪎
Beautiful yarn in gorgeous colors can be turned into crochet earrings. Cute charms and other tiny accessories can be attached to your next crochet bracelet. ✨
And I’m sure once you’ve started, you’ll have an endless list of ideas about how to use all the unused jewelry findings for your DIY jewelry. 📋
Maybe you’re curious now to know whether I’m one of those people who turn their homes into treasure caves for micro crochet lovers. ⚓️
I’m sorry, I have to disappoint you. I’m one of those boring people who only place a new order after having a new design in mind or after having chosen crochet patterns for the next small crochet projects. 🙊
So, let’s see if you’ll satisfy my curiosity. Share your story: Do you have more crochet hook sizes at home than you’re ever going to use, or are you a very conscious buyer? 💫 by @improchet

If you change too many things at once, micro crochet can get overwhelming quickly. 🌊
That’s why I love crochet jewelry: it leaves so much room to make many versions of the same crochet patterns and get used to different crochet hook sizes, yarns and threads step by step. 🪎
That way you can dive into small crochet projects, enjoy the process and create DIY jewelry that fits your style perfectly. 🧵💜

„I moved away from the ocean and now you make me miss it.“ This comment made me both happy and sad 🌅
If you feel the same pull toward the sea, my ocean-inspired crochet jewelry is for you. ⚓️
Whether you’re at the beach right now or far away, I want to bring you a little piece of it. I put all my passion for the sea into my micro crochet designs, every one of my crochet patterns and my ready-to-wear handmade pieces, from playful crochet earrings to an everyday crochet bracelet. 🪎

Welcome to a dreamy world of DIY jewelry made with tiny crochet hook sizes. You’re welcome here if you love wearing jewelry made for ocean lovers, or if you’d like to try small crochet projects yourself. 🐬🧵

Micro crochet looks so impressive, but nobody shows the messy beginnings. 🙈

Mine: crochet toys with a 4 mm hook, chunky crochet bracelets, and then a leap into tiny crochet hook sizes way too soon. 🌊

It was chaotic, frustrating and far from perfect, and I learned so much from it. 💫

Some people find their way to micro crochet through DIY jewelry, others through tiny amigurumi. 🪎
Whichever path you took, your struggles are worth sharing. Was it your first crochet jewelry that went wrong? Your first crochet earrings? Or designing your own crochet patterns? I’m sure we can all learn from each other and make our next small crochet projects a success. 💙

Team silver or team gold? 🩶💛
Silver or gold is more than just a matter of taste. When I design my crochet jewelry, I like to offer both options. 🌅
Whether my mermaid-fin heart charms become crochet earrings or sit on a crochet bracelet, I choose the clasp color based on the yarn color and my mood. 🪎
And of course there are plenty of “rules” out there: Never mix silver and gold. Gold for warm skin tones, silver for cool ones. My rule? Wear what makes you happy. 💫
But now I’m curious: which team are you? Comment 🩶 or 💛 and tell me why! 👇 by @improchet
