⚡️ Nike AFTERDARK tour race vlog ⚡️

What a night!!

The vibes were over the roof and the support was absolutely crazy (thanks to all who cheered me on, you saved me). We arrived at the start 1hr before and then went and did a warm up, I had to stop cause my shin was throbbing which made my goal of SUB 2 hrs out and a goal of finishing in!

However, when I started the race I was pain free, mabey it was the adrenaline or the vibes idk but I pushed out at 4:50s and crusied at that pace for around 10km. Then I slowly hit a wall and slowed it down to 5:30s. The support from 15-17km in WAS EXACTLY what I needed!!

This pushed me through the last 5km which felt like the LONGEST 5km everrrr!! But we crossed the finish line at 1:50:15 which I am SHOCKED about.

It’s not a PB but I did not expect this performance from me especially with no training block, long runs and return from injury, but we survived!

Congrats to all the girls out there 💫

A WEEK OF GRINDING ❤️‍🔥

#runner #running #runnersofinstagram #runnerscommunity by @indiana.runs

Ever since my shin started hurting my fitness declined. I’ve had to reduce intensity, take a few weeks off and begin to reload.

During these weeks I’ve noticed my HR is higher in runs that used to be easy and my legs can match the paces I used to.

However this is just showing the reality of running, it isn’t a straight line up but a journey full of ups and downs.

I’m slowly building back up to the level I was before as 2027 has some big goals and PBs ahead.

For now, we have a 30km trail race in less than 3 weeks to look forward to and get all the last training I can 🫡

This is your reminder to not give up and keep going 🙌
