Respect responds 🙏🏼 by @indigirl345

Apparently it’s Black Cat Day… so naturally the queen herself had to make an appearance🖤🐈‍⬛

From the likkle black kitten my daughter saw run across a huge dump truck, and immediately called and said, “It’s FATE, Mami!” to this spoiled rotten talking beauty who now runs the house like she paying mortgage round here😂😌

And maybe she was right… some things really are just meant to be.

A lil fresh air, a beautiful view, and a moment to thank God for how far I’ve come. 🌿🤍 by @indigirl345

Life does get heavy at times, but God still finds lil ways to remind ya… look how beautiful it still is. by @indigirl345

Something ’bout being out in nature just does settle you. 🌿

Such a nice morning a week ago at the Botanic Park, slowing down, taking in the lil things, seeing a familiar place with fresh eyes. No rush, no pressure for the perfect shot and just enjoying the moment.

So grateful for our lovely host @roam_and_restore for putting together such a peaceful and grounding morning. 🤍 Really looking forward to more moments like these🙏🏼🌺 by @indigirl345

Life done teach me plenty. It make me wiser, more careful with my heart, and more mindful of plenty things… but I still love the simple joys; the sunsets, the music, nature’s grounding, the memories, and the likkle moments that mean plenty.
Like me here enjoying one likkle AI glamour pic, only for my daughter to come correct me quick: “Omg don’t start with posting AI pics now” 😭🤣

2 months today, Dad. 💔 miss you more than words could ever say. Some days still don’t feel real🪽🤍 by @indigirl345

Whenever I travel, I always try to make room for the things I love, and nature is definitely one of them.

Maybe it comes from being born somewhere surrounded by mountains, rivers and the sea, but nature has always had this way of reeling me in and grounding me.

Blue Mountain Peak in Jamaica has been on my heart for a while. Jamaica is my happy place, and I really hoped I’d finally get to do that hike this year, but it just wasn’t meant to happen…(yet☺️)

Instead, life somehow took me to Colombia, a country I hadn’t planned on visiting at all.

So while I was there, I decided to make the most of it and hike La Chorrera. And I honestly had no clue before going that this beautiful 590-metre waterfall was the tallest in Colombia and is often described as the sixth highest in South America. I just knew I wanted to get out into the mountains and experience it.

But the hike became about so much more than the waterfall.

It came just weeks after losing Daddy, and along the way the mountains, farmland and especially the cows kept bringing him to mind.

Whenever I travelled and saw cows, I would always take pictures to show him. I’d tell him how beautiful they were and he would always say the same thing:

“Not as beautiful as my cows.” 😂🤎

So of course, I stopped and took the pictures again.

Only this time, I didn’t have Daddy to show them to on my return.

That part hit differently.

But somehow, being out there in nature also made me feel close to him. Maybe that’s what I love about places like this, they give you space to feel everything at once. The beauty, the sadness, the memories and the gratitude.

La Chorrera will always be a special one for me. 🌿🤍

And Blue Mountain Peak is still waiting.

God willing, next year. 🇯🇲⛰️

And Daddy… I already know.

They still weren’t as beautiful as your cows. 🤎 by @indigirl345

Look what I found hiding in my ancient iPad mini 3 clips from a trip back to Guanaja, c.2015, my birth island, and the first time I had been back since I left in 1987

Growing up here was just different. We were always in the sea, jumping off old rotten wooden docks, paddling doreys, playing marbles and gigs… and me? I was usually doing whatever the boys were doing. I was definitely not the Barbie-type girl. 😂

Back then, getting around was mostly by motor dory, and Bonnaca Key was where we went for shopping and business. They call it the Venice of the Caribbean because of all the little waterways, and everything is built so close together you could practically pass somebody a cup of coffee through the window. 😂

We call Guanaja the Green Island, and even though so much has changed from what I remember, it still has that untouched, peaceful feel.

It’s not a flashy place. It’s fishing, sea, mountains, a tiny waterfall, quiet, and just getting away from everything.

Watching this back really made me realize how long it’s been.

I need to go back home soon. 💚 by @indigirl345

Winnie & Beetlejuice off to the pet hospital for their lil check-ups this morning. One acting brave, the other one plotting escape already. I say, we pray for the vet 😹🤭🐈🐈‍⬛🐾💙 by @indigirl345

“Never question God.” Daddy always said that, and I won’t. 🙏🏼💙

Such a beautiful tribute to lives that gave so much to our community, and now we’ve sadly lost Uncle Harwood too, Daddy’s cousin and good friend😔

I just pray they’re all enjoying each other’s company in Heaven now. 🕊️ The sky is full of stars, shining their light down on us.. by @indigirl345
