First, Ive got a fresh batch of silly lil stickers to adorn your bumper, plus my perennial offering of @infinite.directions creative prompt cards, and also offering Marble Garden gift cards for studio time (in-person or remote) too! Help your friend record the songs they’ve been working on forever, your cousin mix the EP they’ve had on their hard drive for years only a few people have heard, your partner confidently record themselves with audio production lessons or make some hi-fi recordings of grandma and grandpa telling bedtime stories - if it’s audio related I’m here for it and I’ll throw in whatever stickers you want too. Making a beat with @infinite.directions. This is a little micro session I did recently to demonstrate one possible way to integrate Infinite Directions into a creative practice. Your mind is the most powerful creative tool you have and I made these cards to sharpen that tool and act as an imagination catalyst. Hoping to explore and host more Infinite Directions Sessions in the future and invite some friends along too. Thanks to @vvundertone vvundertone for the shoutout and featuring some Infinite Directions cards in your most recent video. For anyone unaware, @vvundertone vvundertone is one of my favorite music-making people online and his channels are definitely worth a follow. The emphasis on using cheap, discarded or “outdated” gear (or just what you have around) and embracing the limitations or qualities of a specific tool is something that resonates deeply with me. This is the type of creative energy we need in the world, and I’m glad you were able to put the cards to good use ❤️ by @thedevmarvelous

First art book fair for Infinite Directions in the books! Thanks to @thecarnegie for hosting such a wonderful event and thanks to all the amazing artists that were there and especially those I got to chat with. Lastly thanks to everyone that drew some cards and made some weird art together! I made these for music but seeing them used even in a silly fun way with markers and watercolor was inspiring, check out the work in the slides. taken in The Carnegie by @thedevmarvelous

Thanks for sharing how you use Infinite Directions with your students, Michele. I admittedly didn’t think about these cards being used in classrooms or lessons when I was dreaming them up, but I’ve heard from many friends how useful they are in with students helping to flex their imagination, reinforcing musical concepts or learning how to translate ideas into musical phrasing. It’s exciting to see how these cards can adapt to different creative contexts and it’s thrilling to hear reports back from out in the world of how they’re helping people connect with their intuition and sparking creativity. Watery + Loops + Filtered. What would this sound like to you? For me, this prompt makes me think of this classic song by The Books that is perhaps one of my favorite songs of all time. The percussion sounds like tiny raindrops to my ears and the guitar and bass parts have the most lovely resonant sweeps. The Books are a band that certainly made me feel like anything was possible with music when I first heard them and they continue to inspire me. #alldirectionsarepossible #infinitedirections taken in Marble Garden by @thedevmarvelous
