before an alcove win, there’s often a glorious Elsa in the mix.

10 years of MCing. 10 years of your raw intelligence, pure heart and sheer grit. 10 years of renewing your alcover vows.

no matter the puzzle, we always find our way to the moon with you.

thank you for helping shape 10 years, 10 seasons (ish) of alcove. you've helped make the impossible possible, again and again.

and now, thanks for changing lanes, looking ahead, aboard this wild Board adventure to help breathe life into alcove's future.

I’m so immensely grateful. obrigata-obrigata. 💓

manifestez-vous les lucioles de Chamoiseau! ❤️✨

I felt home. the story of how the Studio Museum became more than a museum is deeply moving. there’s something almost Ubuntu-like about it: a place deliberately built for Black artists, ideas, experimentation and community, an institution creating the conditions for people to be seen, supported and Remembered.

all the collections spoke volumes, and Dreams of This Future stayed with me most. I often think or daydream 'in the future', and I think I found part of the reason why it brings me joy, in this collection. Peggy Cooper Cafritz saw collecting her pieces as an act of care and possibilities: seeing artists, supporting them and imagining what could become possible for them. an uplifting and energizing collection.
