RCAD 2024 ALUMN 🌟
Motion Designer (aka digital magician)
POSTS STORIES REELS
NEW DEMO REEL 🐾 So excited to finally share this! It was really nice to revisit the work I've done, I feel proud of everything I've accomplished! Song: "Catgroove" by Parov Stelar by @ink_katana
🤔"What's motion design?" Just completed my last Ringling assignment! (I can't believe graduation is just around the corner! It went by so fast!) I was given a motion design related phrase to animate and used it to visually demonstrate all the skills I've learned during my studies! Honestly, the perfect note to end on. I loved having the opportunity to mesh a wide array of visual styles! Fun fact: I rendered all my 3D type in Redshift save for the "I" which was rendered in Unreal Engine! It renders so fast it's practically instantaneous! I hope to experiment with Unreal more in the future, it's definitely peaked my interest. 👀 #motiondesign #motiongraphics #unrealengine #cinema4d #redshift #photoshop #aftereffects #illustrator by @ink_katana
Hey... You wanna... Hear some cool moth facts? 👀 This was a blast to work on, I even got to do some voiceover work for this one! (Yes, that's my voice on the audio track!) Moths are extremely beautiful and shockingly undervalued animals, so I really wanted to showcase how cool they are! ✨ Working with 2.5D is crazy fun, I loved building out a coin rig and splitting apart photographs of moths for animation. Really pushed myself to create believable, realistic motion with this one and I'm happy my efforts paid off! by @ink_katana
The Sin Bin By @rthompson1138, Illustrated by @patodelpeche. The Sin Bin is out next week: https://ow.ly/JG3h50VN4aN Animated by @ink_katana #Monsterhunting #TheSinBin #POCCharacters #TheSinBin #GraphicNovel #YANovel #POC #HockeyPlayer #TheSinBinGrahicNovel by @ink_katana
Finally posting this here!!! Felt a little nostalgic and wanted to make an animation meme again. I've learned so much since that last time I made one of these, it feels great to see the improvement! If you're curious about the characters, their names are Ruby (she's the red wolf) and June (the funky dude with glasses)! I have bigger things planned for them later, but right now they act as my mascots with 0 lore. I just think they're neat! Music: MIX. 02 - BOTHERED! by Femtanyl by @ink_katana
Here's a little sample from a larger project I'm quite fond of! 💖 Audio is replaced with a different track because I don't want to give away the song choice just yet, but I wonder if any of you can guess what she's saying lol I drew all the assets in Photoshop and animated them in After Effects; there are over 40 assets in this scene alone!!! Super tricky to conceptualize but I love a challenge! ✨ by @ink_katana
🔮Happy (bleated) holidays!!! Made this social post for NorthCoast Media Group a little while ago and I'm finally able to share it! (Sound design by the talented Sabrina Schumacher!) This was created using Illustrator and After Effects, I love taking flat designs and giving them the illusion of depth, something about it feels magical. 🪄 Hope winter has treated you all well, I'm looking forward to 2025 more than ever!!! Lots of cool stuff on the horizon! by @ink_katana
Simple render exploration from an upcoming project. CInema 4d + Redshift! Really love how this is shaping up, playing with lighting on glass textures is always so satisfying! (Glass models from sketchfab.) by @ink_katana
💙 Wanted to share some experimental animations I did awhile back for NorthCoast! (Make sure you have your sound turned on!) Was super cool to research cyberpunk and retro video game styles for this! Fun fact: The skyline in retro animation is Green Bay's skyline! You can even spot Lambeau Field if you look close enough. ;) by @ink_katana
🎃Happy Halloween! I made a Batman sticker design to pass out alongside the candy this year. Hope everyone had a fun night!!! by @ink_katana
🔔 Jingle bell explorations! Wanted to do an in depth study of jingle bells for an upcoming project a work. Super happy with the results, I got to learn a lot about light and how it affects color through these! This is entirely shape layers with the exception of a few JPEGs for texture and some post processing effects. :] by @ink_katana
🦇Work in progress AE rig!!! Still have some details to clean up, but I like how this is turning out! Wanted to share some behind the scenes stuff since a lot of the details won't be visible in the final video. I've been watching Batman the Brave and the Bold in my spare time (SO good, by the way!) and it got me motivated to animate something silly. Getting carried away with it more than I planned, but hey! I'm enjoying the process! 👍✨ #batman #batmanthebraveandthebold #motiondesign #animation #dc #dcuniverse #aftereffects by @ink_katana
