〰️ The Inked Festival Film has landed! 〰️ Enjoy this wonderful collage of highlights from the INKED FESTIVAL OF PRINT 2025 It would be impossible to include all of the fabulous people, moments and creativity that happened over the four months of activity so this does not feature everything but it certainly captures the beautiful community spirit and love for print that was evident throughout the festival. Thank you once again to everyone involved! @inkedprintfestival Credits to the behind the scenes folk: @islajtelford @melanieclarkeartist @patriciahomewoodartist @severnsideartist @sarahdelahoy.printmaker @angieslchan @alisonroeartist @woodsideprinting @emmamorris10_ Freya Davies @lucy_and_the_stitches @bespoketents @jes_sika_flex @tattoosinafield @mickeyeffingmurphy @clairesibley0711 @uog_illustration @cinderford_gloscol_art_design #printclub and anyone I’ve forgotten :-) 🎥 Camilla Adams Resident Printmakers @studiosabrinashirazi @mgkochany @harriethughes.art ❄️ Merry Mid Winter everyone! ❄️ Here’s to a print filled 2025 and inspiration for the year to come 🥂 #inkedfestivalofprint2025 #inkedprintfest #theyardprintstudio #printmakingfestival Arts Council England funded @aceagrams by @inkedprintfestival
“The power of print” This might be our theme for Inked Print Festival 2027! Massively inspired by the success of this year’s printmaking festival we are excited about what is possible. It’s been over a month since the Inked Print Fair which brought together a fantastic community of makers, arts organisations, students, local residents and visitors from far and wide to meet, connect and be inspired. We’ve been collecting in all of the photographs, footage, feedback and stats and are blown away by the wonderful comments we’ve received and the memories created. ~ More than 1000 people visited the print fair and exhibition over two weeks. ~ 60 Artists & Makers altogether brought their work and talent for visitors to engage with across multiple venues in the Forest. ~ 15 printmakers shared their skills with the community in 16 different printmaking workshops. ~ Over 170 people tried out a printmaking technique. ~ 3 talented artist’s took part in our residency programme and delivered a fascinating talk to a full house at the Inked Exhibition. ~ 4 people have been taking part in mentoring. ~ At least 25 people have got involved as volunteers to help with preparing for and running the events. This was the first time there has been a print fair in the Forest of Dean and the first printmaking festival The Yard Print Studio has organised so it has all felt pretty epic! The memories that stand out the most from the last few months of festival activity after months of planning have been the wonderful moments of connection… seeing people laughing and awe-inspired by what they’ve discovered through the people they’ve met… the most repeated comments at the fair were about how wonderful the vibrant buzz of community that could be felt. This is why we love print! #vivalaprint #inkedprintfest2025 @inkedprintfestival 📷 Camilla Adams 📷 @fawnfaephotography #artscouncilenglandfunded @aceagrams by @inkedprintfestival

✨18 days left to reach our target! ✨ We’ve had quite a few new followers here recently so wanted to say hi and welcome 🌿 and also give a little tour of the studio in pictures :-) These are photographs taken mostly last year during our series of events and residencies as part of the @inkedprintfestival Alongside documenting many of the beautiful moments that happened across the festival programme, our wonderful photographer Cam Adams also captured some of the lovely detail of the studio. So here are some of the inbetween times shots, with all the lovely mess, laughing, making, sharing and doing. Including our three 2025 resident printmakers @studiosabrinashirazi @mgkochany and Harriet Hughes. In the studio we have two main presses as well as screenprinting equipment, it is an incredibly well used and loved space. We never take for granted how special it is to have this space up and running. The studio is mostly managed by me @nicholagoff with the help and support of an amazing community of people. Between myself, visiting tutors and volunteers we run courses, workshops, community print days, events, exhibitions and outreach projects most of the year round, apart from when we’re having a little recharge break. If you would like to visit the studio we’re having an OPEN DAY on SATURDAY 26th SEPTEMBER 10-3. Do come down and say hello! There will be demos, print activities, tours, refreshments and a print sale 🌸 We’re also running a crowdfunder at the moment to raise funds to service and update our equipment which only has 18 days left and we’re still a way off from our target, so if you would like to support this brilliant studio then please head over to the crowdfunder and donate. There’s a few lovely rewards you can claim… and there’s also a very heart warming film made by Cam Adams that shows off all the wonderful things about the studio ♥️ Any support massively helps!! Thanks for reading! 😊 Link to crowdfunder in bio ⬆️⬆️⬆️ or head over to the website where there is also info about our courses and events. 🌿♥️♥️♥️🌿 #theyardprintstudio #intro #fundraising #openday by @inkedprintfestival
It’s here!! 🎉 Our crowdfunder is now live! Take a look at this wonderful film made by Cam Adams that celebrates many of the brilliant things about the yard print studio. We are raising money so that we can do some much needed maintenance on our presses and buy essential equipment to keep the studio going and continue to offer access to top notch printmaking kit. Our equipment being in top working order is also essential to keeping the studio in general going and as you will see from this lovely film, we are more than just a teaching and making space, the studio is a community. Help us keep it going by donating to the crowdfunder and sharing this with anyone you think would be interested. Every donation helps no matter how small. There are various printy rewards you can claim for your donation which we’ll share more about and watch out for the Inked Festival banner auction which will contribute to the fund also. Let’s keep the presses rolling! ✨ Donate here: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/the-yard-print-studio Or follow the #linkinbio⬆️⬆️⬆️ and on our website Thanks everyone for all the support you give! 🙏♥️🙏 #keepthepressesrolling #theyardprintstudio #crowdfunder #donatenow🙏 by @inkedprintfestival
The making of the @inkedprintfestival community print with @rosannaprints 💚 Story below ⬇️ . In the run up to the Inked Festival last year we had a wonderful day in the studio where lots of people turned up and helped us create a large scale print to celebrate the beauty of printmaking. . Many many hands carved jigsaw pieces of lino following a design skilfully created by Rosanna… the design shows printmaking tools and hands working with them… these were carved out with care and background textures added by everyone who worked on the lino blocks. . The day was a beautiful hub of connecting, making, laughing and working together. . The result is a lively wonderful collaboration of many people making different parts to create the whole. Which is often the way with printmaking. . The piece was printed by hand at the Festival in November, again by many hands. . We have finally had a chance to print the finished artwork on Rosanna’s beautiful big press at her studio in Bristol to get a lovely solid print, bringing the final pieces of the puzzle together :-) . ➡️ Take a look in stories to see the fabulous finished results! They look so good! . The plan is to auction these off once they are dry along with the originals printed at the fair in an online auction where you can potentially get yourself one of these for a bargain! . All proceeeds of the auction will go towards our upcoming fundraiser to raise money to service the presses and restore the equipment in the studio. . Watch this space for news of both things coming soon! 👀 . . . 📷 Photo credit: Camilla Adams Big thanks to everyone who helped make this wonderful artwork, there were lots more people involved who are not in these pics… 🙏 Also watch out for Inked Print Festival 2027… where we’ll be celebrating ‘The power of Print’! #plansarecooking #theyardprintstudio #communityprint #inkedprintfestival #collaborativeprint by @inkedprintfestival
Post 2 of 2 ✨ Reflections @inkedprintfestival ✨ It feels like a good time to reflect back at the wonderful two days we had last November at the inaugural Forest of Dean Inked Print Fair! 💙 We’re still not totally sure how we mixed the right ingredients to create this event but it really was such a wonderful couple of days. The atmosphere in the hall was just magic. Soo many absolute legends in one room! We are very grateful to everyone who took part and got involved, bringing their own flavour of print beauty and enthusiasm, making it a buzzing event for all. It was especially lovely to see this happening in the Forest of Dean where you just don’t get so much of this sort of thing. Thanks everyone! We’re working on plans for another @inkedprintfestival in 2027! 🤞🔥🤞 In the meantime time enjoy these wonderful photos of the fair! 📷 Camilla Adams & @fawnfaephotography #inkedprintfest2025 #reflectionsonfriday #inkedprintfair #printmakingjoy #legends by @inkedprintfestival
