Pre-Conference 2026 Roots — because every movement stands on the shoulders of those who fought before us. We do not forget. Rise — because trans, BIPOC, non-binary, gender non-conforming and intersex communities are still here. Still organizing. Still building — even as the world pushes back. Revolution — because we are done asking for a seat at the table. We are building the table ourselves. In 2024, Nikki Phinyapincha, Co-founder of Trans Pride Thailand proposed Resolution 24-02 at the InterPride GM&WC in Medellín. It passed by supermajority — endorsed by Pride Toronto, San Diego Pride, Tokyo Rainbow Pride, and San Francisco Pride — mandating a permanent dedicated pre-conference space for BIPOC, trans, non-binary, gender non-conforming, intersex, asexual, bi/pan sexual and disability communities within InterPride. This is that space. Coming home to Southeast Asia for the first time. 28 October 2026 | Duangjitt Resort & Spa, Phuket, Thailand Hybrid | In-person + Online via Wordly AI by @interpride
Folks in Europe are calling for folks to protest at Turkish embassy’s on Sept 30 Concern matters but it has to be followed by action. Speak publicly, raise the issue with decision makers, support LGBTI+ People, organisations and activists in Turkey, and help keep international attention on the arrests, prosecutions and restrictions. Thank you to everyone who has already taken to the streets in 60+ cities across 30+ countries. On 30 September, let’s gather again. Kaygı duymak önemli. Ama yetmez. Ses çıkarın, karar vericileri harekete geçmeye çağırın, Türkiye’deki örgütlerin ve aktivistlerin yanında durun; gözaltıların, tutuklamaların, davaların ve baskıların gündemden düşmesine izin vermeyin. 30’dan fazla ülkede, 60’tan fazla şehirde sokağa çıkan herkese teşekkürler. 30 Eylül’de yeniden buluşalım. by @interpride
🚨 URGENT: Stop The Criminalization Of LGBTI+ Movement In Türkiye Since September 12, 2026, authorities have launched an unprecedented crackdown on LGBTI+ organizations, activists, and human rights defenders. This is a critical moment that demands our collective response. Despite homosexuality being legal since 1858, the government has systematically criminalized public LGBTQ+ expression. Pride events have been banned since 2015. Now, police are raiding LGBTQ+ organizations, including the historic Kaos GL, gay bars, nightclubs, and private homes across Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir. THE SCALE IS STAGGERING: • 160+ individuals arrested • 9 associations targeted across 15 provinces • Websites and social media accounts blocked • Civil society operations falsely framed as organized crime • 50+ verified detentions This is not a violation of law. This is an erasure of rights. But we can act. We must act. EPOA condemns the latest crackdown on civil society and LGBTI+ organisations in Türkiye. Last night, close to 200 LGBTI+ activists were arrested during overnight raids in several cities across Türkiye. The arrests come amid a wider crackdown on our community, with websites and social media accounts belonging to LGBTI+ organisations, activists and human rights defenders also being blocked. Our member ÜniKuir is among those affected. We are in close contact and continue to monitor the situation and report on developments. EPOA condemns these raids, arrests and acts of censorship, and stands in solidarity with ÜniKuir and the wider LGBTI+ community in Türkiye. Attempts to silence civil society and restrict freedom of expression cannot go unanswered. We call on European institutions and governments to take action and use all available diplomatic channels to pressure Türkiye to reverse these measures. Pride has a bi woman in its founding story. Most people have never heard her name. Brenda Howard was a bisexual activist from the Bronx. In 1970, on the first anniversary of Stonewall, she was one of the organisers of the Christopher Street Liberation Day march and the rally that closed it. She pushed for something bigger than a single march: a whole week of events around it. Workshops. Talks. Music. Politics and joy in the same programme. If you have ever built a Pride, you are working inside a format she helped invent. She spent the next thirty years organising. She helped found the New York Area Bisexual Network. She campaigned to get the word “bisexual” into the title of the 1993 March on Washington. She wore a button that said “Bi, Poly, Switch. I know what I want.” She is still routinely described as straight. That is what bi erasure looks like. Not hostility. Just a slow, tidy forgetting. This month we are telling the parts of the story that got left out. Bi Visibility month. #BiVisibilityMonth #BrendaHoward #BiVisibility #PrideHistory #BiPride #InterPride #LGBTQIHistory #MotherOfPride #BiErasure #GlobalPride by @interpride
Dresden wants to turn walls into bridges CSD Dresden e.V. has published its official bid to host EuroPride 2029, and instead of a traditional bid book, they've built an interactive website you can explore. "1969 stands for the courage of Stonewall. 1989 showed us that even the strongest walls can come down. And in 2029, we want to write the next chapter together in Dresden.", Ronald Zenker (he/him), Spokesperson of the Board, CSD Dresden e.V. EPOA President Patrick Orth (he/him) welcomed the bid, calling it "a strong and solid bid" ahead of the final decision. Delegates from more than 200 member organisations will vote at the EPOA Annual General Meeting on Saturday 10 October in Magdeburg, with the result expected later that day. At a time when queer rights across Europe are under pressure, bids like this matter. 🌈✊ Some Prides march down grand avenues. Others hold their ground around a small-town fountain, and change everything. On Saturday 5 September, Loogootee, Indiana (pop. ~2,600) hosts its 4th annual Loogootee PrideFest on the historic Public Square, around the fountain the community proudly renamed Diversity Fountain. Health fair, local vendors, a drag show — and the famous group photo that grows bigger every year. 📸 This festival exists because two residents and about 50 young people refused to be erased. When the city took down a banner reading "Celebrate Diversity and Inclusion," the community answered with a protest, then a festival, 300 strong in year one. The city has tried to block it every year since. With the ACLU of Indiana at their side, they keep winning, because visibility is a right, not a permit. This is what Pride looks like where it's hardest, and matters most. We see you, Loogootee. 💛 📍 Public Square, Loogootee, IN 📅 Sat 5 Sept 2026 ➡️ Follow "Loogootee Pride 2.0" on Facebook ⭐ Support them: search "Diversity Fountain" #LoogooteePrideFest #DiversityFountain #InterPride #PrideEverywhere #SmallTownPride #RuralPride #IndianaPride #LGBTQ #Pride2026 #VisibilityMatters #LoveThyNeighbor by @interpride
