♡ This little practice is an absolute game-changer for relationships.

Builds intimacy, trust and pleasure ✨️

🔑 The key is to practice and feel the difference in your body.

Question 1. We are all used to this kind of touch. We GIVE to the other.

Question 2. No giving... just RECEIVING

Within an agreed-upon container (with consent):

The other person is GIVING you access to their body. They are passive.

You are in action FOR yourself as you touch, tuning into sensations on your skin.

Focus on fully RECEIVING ✨️

This dynamic brings you out of your head and into your body.
Simply delicious ❤️

Huge thank you to my amazing teacher, Matthias Schwenteck @somaticconsent

👁 Perception is everything

I don't want to plaster a smile over pain or pretend the rain feels like sunshine.

I want to look with laser eyes and observe what sits beneath.

Below the surface layer, dressed up as fact.

To sit and watch as the picture changes and curious insights emerge.

☆☆☆☆☆

Tears blur what we see,
beneath the noise, lines appear
truth holds its own shape.

🧠 What if your hands could talk to your nervous system? 🌸

Developed by Matthias Schwenteck of @somaticconsent

'Waking Up The Hands' is a simple, 5️⃣minute-a-day practice that can work wonders.

🌼 Supports clients to settle into their body during therapy or healing sessions

🌼 Lovely lead-in for yoga nidra or hypnotherapy, easing the nervous system into a safe, calm place

🌼 Sharpens your ability to feel and receive pleasure from your skin

🌼 Helps children calm when they’re overwhelmed

🌼 Versatile, portable, and takes only 5 minutes a day

One small practice — endless possibilities.

#metacognition #mindfulness #awareness #theobserver #embodied by @into.the.real

We spend so much of our lives caught up in the stories of the mind.

The interpretations.
The predictions.
The meanings we create about what is happening.

Embodied mindfulness invites us
to pause & notice what's here, now.

The thoughts passing through.
The sensations moving through the body.
The emotions rising and changing.

Not to control our experience.
Not to push it away.

But to create space.

Because in that space, we can respond rather than simply react.

We reconnect with the body, our senses
& the richness of this moment.

□ Feeling hurt doesn’t automatically mean someone intended harm

□ Hurt puts the nervous system into defence mode - to self-protect

□ While accountability is important, the first step is clarity

□ Connection returns when we slow down, regulate, and meet each other with awareness and safety

○ Asking curious questions
○ Being open
○ Listening

Helps us:

○ See clearly
○ Respond calmly
○ Feel seen

● No fixing
● No winning

○ Curiosity opens what blame shuts down - a chance to understand & re-connect

Mindfulness has 2️⃣ elements ✨️

1. Noticing your External World: the breeze on your skin, the ripples on water, the food you're eating, the scents & sounds.

Noticing your Internal World: your body sensations, emotions, thoughts.

2. Being The Witness . . .
Just noticing.

No changing.
No judgements.
No stories.

Allowing everything to be as it is -
Allowing yourself to be as you are.

(This is not a practice to help accept unsafe situations but to gain more balance & connection within daily life).
