Transformed the downstairs living room into a photography studio 🤣 it still amazes me the number of things we can fit in here. But before this I…

Took her to her first sew-in appointment 🤭 you should have seen the look on her face when I told her it’d have to be a sew-in instead of tracks 🤣 but she lovessss it. She said she’d take it out on Monday but we are still here 🤷🏽‍♀️. And after this we…

Went for her fittings 🫩 I was categorically super exhausted and wanted to drive home but alas I sat down and waited for two hours. It gave me PTSD remembering when we’d travel with my mum and go shopping for shoes 😵‍💫. Thennn…

Then I got my lashes done for the first time 🤭 I had to ask my sister @lisalovesloewe if I looked like a rat. And before we knew it…

It was the day! And she looked stunningggg 😝 the hair, the makeup, her outfits 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾. And not too long after…

An angel, our angel, my mummy turned 60 over the weekend 🥹
It’s interesting, our mums carry us and watch us grow up. And at a certain point when we’ve gained enough consciousness, the roles reverse a little and it feels like we’re watching them grow up
Watching my mum plan and style her outfits, get her hair and make up done and finally being able to shoot her myself, it felt like watching her grow up 🤧🫶🏽
🥂 to the next 60 years 🤪

Hey loversss 💗

Just shared the shoot direction 🤭

If you’re a bit shy, don’t worry… there are lots of faceless pose ideas in the brief. It’s the perfect chance to ease in and still be part of something beautiful ✨

Step out a little, have fun with it, and sign up 💫

Happy Val’s day luvsss, these are 11 things I’ve learnt about love in the past 1 year 🤪

1. Love is not a finite resource, it cannot run out or finish. So there’s no need to hoard it.
2. If you need to work to earn it, strive to gain it, then it isn’t love. Love is freely given
3. We’re not perfect but through loving eyes, we are enough
4. Perfect love truly does cast out fear, fear of abandonment, fear of rejection, fear of not being enough, fear of being unlovable
5. To be loved is to rest
6. To be loved is to be broken wide open (in a good way)
7. Love is healing
8. Love shows up in many forms and should not be limited to one outlet
9. Part of the love cycle is also being able to receive it
10. Love is capable of opening up parts of you long forgotten
11. Love is freeing by @irllywntu

I egg you too 🤭

Happy new monthie 🥹
We’re growing, we’re learning and we’re journaling literally every single moment of the day 😂
Thank you Jesus, I love Youuuu 😘 by @irllywntu

Okay so I lied
Well sorta, more of omitted something important
In my bio I said “I take pictures of things and people”
Which is true
However, If I was being completely honest with you
That feels like I’m trying to cut myself down to bite size
Something digestible, because i don’t want to make people choke.
It’s not uncommon for some, not all people but some to witness me and wish I would just pick one thing.
I was once like that, wishing I could just pick one thing
But one day I’m here, the next I’m there, ever changing but still the same thing at my core: Stories.
So I’m going to change my bio to “Storyteller” as the stories come out in whatever form I’m drawn to per time.
Last year I wanted to pick up painting again after years being away from it. So I began to learn from scratch on YouTube, on Instagram, with CHAT GPT. Learning how to draw again was both humbling and exciting.
Learning about colors and the effects of light (photography helped me with this as well) has been invigorating.
It was during this I learnt that creating is not merely about the THING but equally about what the THING does to us and who we become or discover we always were.
I’m not the same person I was when I started learning, there’s so much about life and myself that I have discovered along the way.
I’ve grown the confidence to call myself an artist, not because I paint, write, take pictures, craft etc etc No I’m an artist because I am and I do the things I do because I am. Not the other way around. by @irllywntu
