Happy Halloween! 🎃 I went birding at a pumpkin patch and saw some beautiful birds!

Me and my girlfriend visited a pumpkin patch before they closed, and we had to take the opportunity to bird as well!

Besides birding, it was such a nice place to visit. There was good food, beautiful scenery, cute farm animals, and so many birds!! I tried to photograph as much as I can! I wish I could get more fall photos as well but school has taken a lot of my time up 😅

But I hope you guys enjoy these photos for now! :)

Birds in order: Lark Sparrow, Yellow-rumped Warbler, Mourning Dove, Cassin’s Kingbird

First time seeing a Merlin!

Penny Creek is a beautiful trail with so much wildlife and birds! I love this place because of the diversity of birds especially. This was my first time seeing a Merlin here and my first time ever!

I hope you enjoy!

A new bird to add to the Pokédex! 😂

I say this because I found this Western Bluebird for the first time while playing Pokemon Go Fest with my girlfriend! We decided, why not bird while playing at the same time!!

But we were just walking around when we saw this gorgeous Western Bluebird in a tree! I love the first photo because it looks like he is waving hi to us 🥹
It was such a fun day, awesome catches and a new lifer! 🤩

This Long-billed Curlew taking a sip on a hot California day 🥹

This Long-billed Curlew looks like he’s taking a sip, but he’s actually searching for food! I got super lucky to be close enough to this beautiful bird in the San Elijo Lagoon!

It was a pretty hot day so the heat for me was a little difficult to handle 😅

These 2 birds are very very common where I live!

The House Finch, and Song Sparrow!

Though they are very common, I love to photograph them :) They are such cute birds but they are very skiddish and fast!

12 - The RAW file

I’ve been looking forward to this project for a while! I wanted to give this beautiful kingfisher a different look by letting other photographers bring their own vision to the image.

I was really curious to see how everyone would approach the same RAW file, from their editing style and colour choices to the overall mood they wanted to create. And seeing how differently everyone interpreted this kingfisher has been amazing! Every edit tells its own story. 🌿

Now I’m curious… which edit is your favourite? 👀

A huge thank you to all 9 photographers for taking part and sharing your creativity! ❤️ by @isaacbirdphotos

I saw the fattest little juvenile Song Sparrow during breeding season 🥹

I was walking the trail in Union Bay Natural Area at around 9am, when I hear a very distinct call, nothing I’ve heard before.

I hear it in the bushes so I’m endlessly searching trying to find this bird, when all the sudden its mom came to feed him and thats how I found him 😂

He was perched hidden inside of a tree, then clumsily flew to a nearby invasive Himalayan Blackberry bush, where I photographed him!

While birding in PCNA today, I saw this little Anna’s Hummingbird almost get dive bombed!

This little local Anna’s Hummingbird that stays near the area, perched really nicely during yesterday’s beautiful foggy morning. But as I was photographing him, another male came and almost dive bombed him! Luckily he moved out of the way 😅

But I caught this photo (1st slide) the exact moment before the other Hummingbird came and dived down, so it looks like he’s preparing for battle 😂

Also at the end photo, he looks like he’s meditating too 😭

Just a bunch of Brown Pelicans hangin’ out!

This July, I visited the beautiful (but problematic) city of La Jolla with my girlfriend! There were many beautiful birds there, but I just happened to photograph the hundreds and hundreds of Brown Pelicans.

Where I live in Washington state, we don’t have them. So it was awesome being able to get up close, and photograph them!

The Reddish Egret’s beautiful dance, and erratic way of hunting…

Reddish Egrets are the Rarest Heron in North America. They are known for their beautiful and erratic way of hunting, by creating a shade over the water to trick the fish into thinking it’s safe. Have you seen this bird before?

Isn’t this little Anna’s Hummingbird just so cute? 🥹

I took this video while walking a trail in Penny Creek Natural Area in Mill Creek, Washington! He hangs out around the same area almost everyday, so thankfully I was there at the right time! 😄

Awesome lifer back in July, the Least Bittern!

While on a pontoon with my girlfriend looking for Black Swans, we got this nice surprise! This little guy was just hidden in the reeds, pretty hard to spot but I managed haha
