STAC Large School Final.

Arguably the two best teams in the section this season play in the STAC Large School Final. Ithaca still only has one loss and is on a 13 match unbeaten streak, while Vestal only has 2 losses themselves, one of which coming in Extra-Time against Ithaca. Both look to win some silverware before the can each make a run at Sectionals in their respective classes.

Ithaca top the Express.

Man of the Match: Ithaca’s Bennet Rickard and @felix_tsl

After a quiet first half for both teams, Ithaca made a quick run scoring 3 goals in 5 minutes, Felix Teschl scored twice, and Bennet Rickard added one of his own. Benjamin Susskind, Sam Luka, and Jasper Hall all offered assists for the Little Red. Dom Romeo scored to bring one back off a Parker Coleman assist.

Coach Derek Hamilton had this to say after the match, “I thought we played pretty well defensively for most of the game. We saw a 0-0 scoreline for most of the match before Ithaca scored three goals in five minutes after a few lapses in play. We refocused and grabbed a goal, but need to play a complete 80 minutes knock off a quality opponent like Ithaca.” by @ithacasoccerbv
