Chris Joslin’s GMA Part - Recreated in skate.

This part further cements Joslin’s legacy in skating; from the big flip at Wallenberg to the historic Tre Flip down El Toro, to the sentimental and emotional moments with family, we knew we had to do the part justice.

Chris Joslin battled El Toro for years. He first attempted the Tre during a couple sessions in 2016, but after hardware issues and a failed roll away (totally robbed), he couldn’t land it clean. El Toro was closed/skate-stopped for years and most people didn’t think it would be skated again. 10 years later, he returned. He had trained physically and mentally for years to attempt El Toro again. And when he finally hit it, the skateboarding community as a whole was left speechless.

Joslin’s story and his dedication to improvement is something that inspires us all at CC. Recreating the part showed us how truly technical Joslin is with his skating, only further cementing himself as SOTY.

Every successful recreation felt like solving a puzzle, this was a true lesson on the skills and masterful performance of Chris Joslin’ in GMA

We would like to thank all members of Cross Collective, whom regardless of their busy schedules were able to make time to film for this recreation.

Over 30 hours of filming, 76 total clips, editing, and building the spots, we have come up with a 95% accuracy for this video part. If you have watched the original we really hope this part does it justice.
