BIG NEWS!

I have been patiently waiting to share!

I’ve been selected as a fellow for the @native_american_media_alliance 10th Annual Native American TV Writers Lab!!

I can’t wait to learn with these other fellows and build more community!! by @itsbrittaniebitch

Native American activism is very important! And I hope Andrew Jackson realizes how dumb he looks with me frolicking in front of him!

My scene from Grey’s Anatomy!!
I want to remember this moment forever. As you can tell by my reaction, it’s very surreal seeing yourself on TV. Not to mention on a show that I’ve been watching since it first aired. So grateful to my team and everyone at Grey’s who had a hand in letting me be apart of the family! I’ll never forget this.

Season 19 Episode 5
“When I Go To The Border”

Directed by Jessie Williams

My first show since moving back to LA two months ago!

Two things I’m thankful for…

1) @joeycliiiiiift and his new book: We’ve Been Here The Whole Time. Want to piss off Columbus? Buy Joey’s book!

2) My high cheekbones.

And one extra thing…performing with all these funny ass Native people. More people should give us platforms to show you how funny we are!!

Video of my song I wrote for the Native American Hamilton musical I’m working on coming soon!

And shoutout to @zandimancam for the awesome pics!! by @itsbrittaniebitch

My all Native comedy show in Los Angeles is almost sold out!

My name is Joey Clift (Cowlitz) and I’m putting on a comedy show on October 6th at 7:30pm at @elysiantheater featuring some of the funniest names in Native American comedy and we’re so close to selling out!

We’ve got a packed lineup, with folks like @brian_bahe (Ghosts), @itskristinchirico (The Kitchen & Jorn Show), @jimruel2 (The American Indian Comedy Slam), @itsbrittaniebitch (Better Call Saul), @grinningindian (Just For Laughs), zine artist @jooliefiveash and @thedoophus ‘s Indigeprov.

The show is on October 6th to celebrate the launch of my new book, “We’ve Been Here The Whole Time! A Not So Sacred Guide to All Things Native America.” It’s a comedy book releasing through Andrews McMeel and @simonandschuster about all of the Native history, culture and notable people they never taught you in school! Sort of like if The Onion or The Daily Show wrote a book about Indian Country.

Tickets are $16, or $40 for a ticket + a copy of my book.

Half of all ticket profits will be donated to @thechapterhousela , an awesome Native women led nonprofit putting on cool events for the Los Angeles Indigenous community. Buy tickets using the QR code in the video or at the link in my bio.
The show is almost sold out (only like 20 tickets left), so get yours before we’re completely sold out!

And if you don’t live in Los Angeles, this is the first stop in my nationwide book tour, so come see me at a city near you. A link tree with more info about my tour can be found in my bio.

Come to The Elysian in Los Angeles on 10/6 to see some great Native comedy, celebrate the release of my new book and support a cool nonprofit in the process.

And if you’ve already pre ordered my book, go to the link in my bio and use our pre order incentive form to get a free comedy zine!
