“An innocent invitation, hardly organised departure, no date of return.” I didn’t know how much I would learn from that trip 😳

We generally travel for vacation, to have a break from the boring life we’ve build at home.

To experience something extraordinary, new, a journey that would refresh our soul and remind us that we’re alive.

Though I’m finding this to be just the tip of the iceberg.

Deep in myself, I’d like to believe that life is a game, an adventure of sorts.

It’s supposed to be experienced fully, with all the risks one could take even when they seem unfamiliar & out of control.

To not be taken so seriously that you put yourself in a box, living it through society’s standards rather than choosing your own.

So let’s try looking at traveling through another lens. Let’s take it out of the “vacation” box and see what else is there.

What if through traveling, you could really embrace who you are?

Not who you pretend to be, living comfortably in the life you’ve built for yourself. Which is just an image.

But to actually discover who you are at the core of yourself. The parts of you that you’re trying to hide.

Because what other choice do you have, but to face yourself, if you’re in an environment that you do not fully control.

This is how my trip began. An innocent invitation, hardly organised departure, no date of return. Just a small trip to have some adventures outside of home, I thought.

And there’s so much I’m seeing now thanks to it…

I see how scared a part of me is to connect with others, even when I’ve spent thousands of hours working on myself through journaling, meditation, and contemplation.

I see how I fear missing out on the experiences I take part in, because I don’t want to risk leading my own and inviting others in.

And I see how even with these 2 parts of myself…

I’m able to connect with others spontaneously and take the risk to go wherever I want even when I could be disappointed at the end.

Would that have been possible if I didn’t accept?

I don’t know, maybe, but I’m grateful I did.

And hopefully, if your life calls you to one, you find the courage to accept too.

You never know what it would lead you to! by @itsdanicares

If this reflection resonated, if you feel lost while your life looks “perfect” on the surface - I’m open to guiding new people through the “Soulful Relationships Experience” again after January 24th.

Comment “Mirror” if you’d like to join the waitlist and book a free strategy session.

With love,
Dani 🤍

Sometimes freedom means being the villain. Have you experienced that? 🙄

My time has come to cultivate a healthier relationship with social media where I can express all of myself and connect with you, rather than just mindlessly distract my attention from what feels meaningful.

Let’s see where this journey leads me.

Follow along if you would like to get to know yourself better and speak your truth even when it feels uncomfortable. 🔥 by @itsdanicares

(06/24) It would be a stretch to say that I’ve learned to exhale, being completely surrounded by new experiences every couple of days…

Though it definitely taught me to be more open and explore who am I when nothing around me stays the same.

I guess this is the magic of travelling for long term to a new place with no intention as to where the trip leads you…

There is no space for finding certainty in what starts to feel familiar, when everything around me is in constant flux.

And yet, there I found it, certainty that I’m always there no matter how umfamiliar the environment around me gets! ⭐️ by @itsdanicares

(5/24) The stay was unexpectedly extended…

Stressed out, 1 hour before our flight we had to buy return tickets on a random date as they woudn’t let us board the plane to Bali without a return date.

With no intention of using them at that time, evetually they turned out to be a part of the journey…

Almost 2 months on the island, our visas about to expires, ready to go home… a random idea popped.

“Why not go to Singapore for a day, come back, get new visas and extend the trip? We already had to buy the ticket anyway!”

And so the adventure continued… 🔥 by @itsdanicares

(4/24) Building a rhytm in a completely unfamiliar place turned out to be quite challenging….

No plan, no familiar people to rely on, just me and the vast unknown.

Luckily, even in the unknown, with no structure whatsoever, I was always surprised to find a helping hand.

Old friends visiting for a while, a spontaneous instict to go somewhere that I found the courage to follow, and experiences that were finding me at exactly the right time.

I’m grateful that I learned to trust both myself and my capacity to believe that life is there to support me.

And whenever I surrendered into that, I was happy to find that I was never alone.

Until 2 months later, when a new phase began… by @itsdanicares

(3/24) Between lost and found. Still searching for my place, but this time rather than exploring within, the journey of life led me to seek outside.

And surprisingly, nature turned out to be such a healer. I just coudn’t get enough of it!

Tropical jungles, waterfalls, cliff jumping, natural waterslides. Even though I epxlored 15+ waterfalls at that time, they still brough me a huge sense of peace.

I guess I just need my time in nature for me to fully surrender and find my faith in life, whenever I feel like I’ve lost it.

That’a why adventuring in nature never got boring even when it seemed repetitive if you observe it outside. by @itsdanicares

(2/24) A call to adventure can never be predictable. In fact that’s what it makes is so special and transforming!

Having no clue whatsoever what comes next and yet being totally open to receiving it.

It’s an experience that opens one’s mind in ways one cannot imagine or control.

The first month included a lot of travelling, cultivating relationships with old friends, going to places I was visiting for the first time...

And all this, to find out exactly what was missing in my life so far, making it empty and meaningless:

The UNKNOWN. ⭐️

Turns out I cannot be truly fulfilled unless there’s some mystery and sense of adventure in my life.

Otherwise it becomes too predictable and thus… meaningless.

Luckily life always has a way of getting me back in alignment with what’s truly important for my Self. by @itsdanicares

(1/24) Finally decided to share some of my memories from Bali and the psychological journey it guided me through.

Turns out the first week or so was such a warm welcome!

Coming from a place where I was just overcoming a deprsssion, feeling a little lost and without clear direction…

The island came as a call to adventure which I instantly accepted!

Not bcs I had any intention of going there, but simply bcs coming out of the depression I made a decision within myself

“No matter how lost I feel, this doesn’t mean there’s someting wrong with me. So I won’t isolate myself from life. Let it show me what’s best for me.”

So any invitation that came my way was exacfly what I needed as I didn’t have any better ideas anyway.

So the journey began… by @itsdanicares

Out of more than 200 cards, he kept pulling the same one.

Inspiration × What If.

Coincidence? Maybe.

But it's interesting how often people draw the exact topic they're quietly wrestling with.

This share wasn't really about inspiration. It was about trust.

The tension between living a life that feels alive and living a life that feels safe.
Most of us are taught to chase certainty. Build the plan. Create the structure. Control the outcome.

But the things that change our lives rarely arrive that way.

A relationship.
A business idea.
A move across the world.
A conversation with a stranger.

They usually begin with curiosity.

What if?

Standing in front of a room full of strangers, with no prepared speech and no idea what card he'll draw, is a pretty fitting metaphor for life itself.

You don't know what's coming.

You just trust yourself enough to respond when it does.

That's what I love about these moments. People come on stage thinking they're practicing public speaking, but often they're practicing something much deeper:

Listening to themselves.

Our next Unscripted Evening is on June 21st.

Come connect with strangers, share stories, and if you're feeling brave, step on stage, draw two cards, and see what life wants to talk to you about.

It’s fascinating how certain card combinations don’t just create conversation… they expose the exact lesson someone is living through.

In Your 20s x Lessons

Out of all the possible cards, he picked the two themes that perfectly mirrored his current season of life:

Unlearning certainty. And rebuilding meaning.

There’s something almost mystical about that.

Like the cards don’t tell you who you are — they simply reveal what’s already waiting underneath the surface.

And what made this moment powerful wasn’t just what he shared.

It was where he shared it.

Standing in front of a room full of strangers, using vulnerability as a form of public speaking. Not performing. Not pretending to have life figured out. Just honestly processing life in real time.

That’s rare.

Because most people quietly panic when life stops making sense.

When the dream job feels empty. When old friendships stop fitting. When the version of success you chased suddenly loses meaning.

We’re taught to believe certainty is the goal.

But maybe life becomes more meaningful the moment we stop gripping so tightly to who we thought we had to be.

There’s a different kind of intelligence in curiosity.

In letting life surprise you. In allowing yourself to evolve. In admitting: “Maybe I don’t actually have it all figured out.”

And maybe that’s not failure.

Maybe that’s growth.

Because some of the most important chapters begin right after the identity you built no longer feels true.

AS WE ALL ARE.

Have you ever outgrown a version of life you once worked so hard for?
