10 things I’m a little embarrassed to admit as a Christian mom… 🫪🫣

1. Sometimes I get so caught up in being a mom that I forget to spend time with Jesus.
2. Sometimes I pray for God to give me patience, and then I get frustrated five minutes later.
3. Sometimes I worry about my kids’ future more than I actually trust God with it.
4. Sometimes I compare my life to other moms and wonder if I’m falling behind.
5. Sometimes I feel guilty for needing a break from my own children.
6. Sometimes I struggle to hear God when life gets so loud.
7. Sometimes I feel like I should have motherhood figured out by now, but I’m learning that God is still growing me, too.
8. Sometimes I get so focused on what I don’t have yet that I forget to thank God for what He’s already blessed me with.
9. Sometimes I struggle with being still and waiting on God’s timing because I want everything to fall into place right now.
10. Sometimes I put so much pressure on myself to be the perfect Christian mom that I forget God never asked me to be perfect, just to keep coming back to Him.

I know I can’t be the only mom who feels this way… which one hit home for you? 🥹 by @itsdmiaj

For a long time, I struggled with feeling ashamed of my story. I kept asking God, “How did I end up here again? Did I really change? Am I becoming the woman You called me to be?” 🤍

Finding myself in the same situation again brought up so many feelings of guilt. I questioned my growth and worried about what people would think of me. I knew God was still working on me, but it was hard to give myself grace when I felt like I should’ve known better. Sometimes doing the hard thing isn’t easy. I had to face my feelings, be honest with myself, and learn that even when life doesn’t go the way I planned, God is still present. I don’t want to keep allowing shame to make me feel like I have to hide my story or that God can’t use me because of the chapters I wish I could’ve written differently. Through it all, I’m truly blessed to be the mother of two healthy boys that God has gifted me with. 🥹🤍 My boys are a blessing, and I never want my feelings of guilt or shame to overshadow the gift God has given me in them.

Psalm 127:3 (NLT) says, “Children are a gift from the LORD; they are a reward from him.”

I’m still growing, still healing, and still learning to give myself grace. I’m learning that my mistakes don’t erase my growth, my past doesn’t determine my future, and God’s grace is still available to me, even in the moments when I struggle to see it for myself. I’m sharing this because I know I’m not the only woman who has questioned herself, felt ashamed of her circumstances, or wondered if God could still use her after finding herself in a familiar place again.

If that’s you, I want you to know that you don’t have to hide from God or allow shame to define you. You can be honest about where you are while still trusting Him with where you’re going.

My story isn’t over, and neither is yours. I’m still becoming the woman God has called me to be, and I’m learning to trust Him with every chapter. His grace covers every chapter. 🤍 by @itsdmiaj
