Officially a triathlete 🏊🏽🚴🏃

What an amazing day out, ny first triathlon was such an incredible experience, and surrounded by amazing people.

Turns out I can swim more than 50m. I could of done much better, but for my debut and to understand what it is to compete in a triathlon it was an excellent debut.

I ended up 24th general classification, and 5th in my age group. Shout out to everyone at @apulso_pt for the support, loved to represent the team. @solange.a.fernandes for being my road trip buddy, and congrats to @rodrigoluuz (1st) and Henrique (3rd) for the podium; making the team proud.

Now that I have done it, excited to see what is next 💚💜

One year older 🥳

I guess a little reflection doesn’t harm anyone, this year has been a roller coaster, with more downs than ups. I never liked celebrating my birthdays, to an extent its still true, but being surrounded by some of the best people all the time changes you.

Not everyone who spent a little of their time with me this weekend, or that took a moment to send a message/call wishing me a Happy Birthday is represented here. Even so, I want everyone to know how grateful I am to you, for being present, for taking a minute of your time and send that message, even if you are going through tough sh**, or are busy, you still found the time - I truly appreciate it!

I loved every minute of it, I had exactly what I wanted, a weekend full of laughter, food, drinks, and tables full of friendship, and of course my usual silliness/child like behaviour that is ever so present.

Thank you everyone, again, appreciate everyone! by @itsjsilva

Metro Challenge - Red Line (Lisbon)☑️

For my birthday I wanted to take on a challenge, run the red line of Lisbon’s metro from stop to stop.

It was just a little over 12km, and I was joined by @itsmomoshah. Also, very important shoutout to @diogorkarrilho as I stole this idea from him!

Exactly one year later, more than 23min taken off my half marathon time!

It’s insane to think these two pictures are exactly 1 year apart, the improvement is tremendous, and I still can’t believe this is even possible. I remember before I did my first half marathon one year ago (1st picture) I was thinking of going for sub-2h at the time we missed the mark, the whole story is in my page. Fast forward one year, with training and a better structure, here we are aiming for a sub-1:45 and hoping for a good day to reach a sub-1:40. Unfortunately just missed the mark, but damn the improvement is unbelievable!

Soon I will share my thoughts on the race, for now still enjoying the progress and thinking on my 2027 season… for now we are locked in for Lisbon and Copenhagen half marathon, and the big one, Ironman 70.3 Cascais.

What races you doing in 2027?

🇪🇸Valencia half marathon race day nerves: 1 day to Valencia

How do you handle pre-race doubt? Tell me please how you manage all of these nerves and calm your mind?

Third half marathon, first one I’m actually trying to be competitive. There are so many thoughts racing through my mind just hours before the start, such a long journey until here, so many hours, trade-offs, all for this one race. I have been feeling anxious, especially with a little flare-up in my calves.

I will let you know how it all goes. 🏃

🎁🛍️ Valencia’s Half Marathon goodie bag unboxing… there was an item I was not expecting to see at all!

This is the goodie bag given at bib pick-up for the Valencia’s half marathon happening this Sunday, 25th of October. Admittedly I don’t have many races under my belt, so not many good bags experience, bit this one is the most stacked by far, I mean it legit has new baby potatoes in it 😅

What was the best goodie bag you ever got?

Are you also running the half marathon Sunday?

$Metro Challenge - Yellow Line (Lisbon) Finally, we have finally run the 3rd line in the Lisbon metro system, after a long stress fracture recovery and picking up triathlon we are back and completing the challenge. Next is the last and longest line in Lisbon, the blue line 👀 Join me as we run from Odivelas to Lisbon, on the process we went through my university campus, showed you were I intend to celebrate in May (iykyk), and some iconic Lisbon sightseeing spots… are you ready for the blue line? While you wait, make sure you watch the videos on my journey through Red and Green line, those are already out in my profile 🏃 #run #running #runner #runningcommunity #runningmotivation by @itsjsilva$

Absolutely diabolical! 🚴‍♂️🥵

Intervals on the turbo trainer don’t get any easy, I actually think they are getting harder and harder!

For these type of trainings its really important to fuel often, and early 🍕🍝

Portugal 2 Sweden ! 🇸🇪

Stockholm became one of my all time favourite cities to visit, couldn’t love it more.

Spent 4 days in Stockholm, meatballs are worldly, saw a big ass boat, and got inspired by some old dude who found his wife in Stockholm… I wasn’t so lucky.

Headed to Gothenburg to see @swedishhousemafia. The weather there was diabolic, Friday night’s concert was cancelled, luckily for us we got tickets for Saturday so we got a free concert in the afternoon and the one everyone was hoping for at night.

Our flight back was delayed, so we lost the connection flight in Copenhagen, so lucky for me I got to visit another city and country for free.

What an amazing week with friends, in a place that felt like home and that is saying a lot! by @itsjsilva

Triathlon simulation! 🏊🚴🏃

Joined some of the guys from @apulso_pt before their @triatlolongocaminha race the following weekend. This was my first simulation and was almost a full olympic distance, the most important take away was the sensations onto the bike, and then to the run, both felt so much better than my super sprint a few months back - oh and how fun the day was, let’s do it again!
