70 lbs down 😝 by @itsmamaliko

It’s been a long road to get here, but we finally made it into our own space.

Five years of sharing a room.
Seasons of me sleeping on the sofa so she could have her own bed.
Years of working from a room that doubled as a playroom, a closet, and a bedroom.
Years of operating in survival mode.
Years of wondering if I would ever stand on my own again.

And yet… here we are.

God made a way.

He was faithful in the suffering.
Faithful in the confusion.
Faithful in the heartbreak.
Faithful in the moments I felt like I couldn’t carry it anymore.

This didn’t happen overnight.
It wasn’t glamorous.
It was grit. It was prayer. It was tears. It was choosing to keep going when quitting would’ve been easier.

This space isn’t just walls and rooms.
It’s peace.
It’s stability.
It’s answered prayers.
It’s proof that survival was never the final chapter.

To every woman still in the in-between the tight spaces, the shared rooms, the quiet tears at night don’t confuse delay with denial.

God is building you.
Strengthening you.
Preparing you.

And when the door opens, you’ll see He was faithful the whole time.

From survival mode to sacred space.

Never lacking in the love department. 🤍

For so long I thought love was something I had to find in a relationship. Turns out, some of the deepest, most life-changing love has come from the women who have held me up, prayed for me, laughed with me, and reminded me who I am when I forgot.

Romantic love is beautiful. But so is the kind that carries you home.

I don’t even know who I am anymore 😝. by @itsmamaliko

Yesterday, my daughter made the decision to get baptized. All on her own. What a proud mama moment. 🥹🤍

A couple of weeks ago, I was sharing how becoming her mother was what led me into a real relationship with God. Through her birth, I began to truly understand the depth of His love for me in a way I never had before.

And what makes this moment so special is realizing that while God was using her life to draw me closer to Him, He was simultaneously growing me into the woman and mother who would one day help guide her in her own walk with Him. 🥹

And now, eight years later, here we are.

The little girl God used to change my life is now making the decision to follow Him for herself.

I can’t help but think about the calling on her life and all the beautiful things God has in store for her. If He used her life to transform mine before she could even understand it, I can only imagine what He will do through her as she continues to grow in her relationship with Him.

What a beautiful full-circle moment. And what an incredible privilege it is to be her mama, to nurture what God has placed inside of her, and to have a front-row seat to watching His plans for her unfold. ♥️

Thank you @legacychurchaz for being a pivotal part of our story 💕 by @itsmamaliko

Be intentional about who you surround yourself with. You need people who see the light in you, even when you can’t see it yourself. People who aren’t afraid to have the hard conversations, who challenge you to grow, and who won’t let you settle for a version of yourself they know you’ve outgrown. People who remind you of who you are and hold you accountable to who God created you to be. ♥️

Its sweata weatha 🍂🏜️ by @itsmamaliko

This past weekend, I had the honor of being part of the @herlegacyaz Two-Day Experience, where I had the opportunity to sit on a panel and lead a breakout session for the single women of Legacy Church.

This was such a pivotal moment for me.

My breakout session was about How to Date Without Losing Yourself. We talked about knowing who you are and whose you are, the importance of dating within healthy community, and understanding that no relationship should ever cost you your identity.

It’s a conversation that means so much to me because there was a time when I had lost myself so deeply in a relationship that I genuinely didn’t believe I would ever feel like myself again.

And yet, here I am.

After seasons of solitude, healing, unlearning, and allowing God to restore parts of me I thought were gone forever, I’m now standing before rooms of women speaking about the very things I once struggled to find my way through.

What makes this moment even sweeter is that the heart of the Her Legacy experience was about being KNOWN and SEEN by God.

And in the middle of it all, I felt like God gave me a little wink. 🥹

Because the same God who saw me in my brokenness, who met me in the quiet, and who knew who I was even when I had completely lost sight of myself, was now allowing me to stand in a place I never could have imagined being.

Not because being seen by others was the goal, but because I finally understand that even when nobody else could see what God was doing in my life, He was there through every moment of it.

I once prayed just to feel like myself again. Now I get to remind other women that they never have to lose themselves to be loved.

What a beautiful, full-circle moment.

All glory to God. 🫶🏽

Thank you @delicia_hamilton for allowing me this opportunity, I am so grateful to be apart of this amazing experience. ♥️ by @itsmamaliko
