Our hidden bar, tucked into an old toy cupboard redesigned by @izzybourdillon_design to bring a playful twist to the Drawing Room in our Hampshire project.

With a more formal design at the other end of the room, we wanted this end to feel more unexpected and fun. In doing so, we pulled this cabinet from the playroom and gave it a new life.

🍋 The Courtyard Mural inspired by Schumacher’s fabric ‘The Citrus Garden’ for @casa.chamberi 2025

🎨 Art by @izzybourdillon_design & @patriciaramirezdearcenegui

Earlier this year, @aguacatte contacted @patriciaramirezdearcenegui, proposing she paint a mural for Casa Chamberí - an exciting project in the centre of Madrid bringing together interior designers, artists and brands to create a unique gallery space.

Knowing she couldn’t take it on alone, Pat got in touch with @izzybourdillon_design a British artist who she had discovered on Instagram.

Although there was an original design plan, everything changed when Blanca showed them the @schumacher_uk fabric for the courtyard sofa. It’s surreal, fruit filled pattern became the main inspiration for the project. They wanted it to feel as though the walls were an extension of the fabric.

After a 15 day intense process painting in the height of the Spanish summer (long days, wobbly ladders, Spanglish, laughter and frustration ), the courtyard was transformed! by @izzybourdillon_design

Painting a mural in my new @carminashoemaker shoes 🎨🥿

Anyone who knows me knows how much I love all things Spanish, so I was particularly excited to receive these beautiful shoes from Carmina!

A fifth-generation family-run shoemaker based in Mallorca, Carmina has been making shoes since 1866, with each pair handcrafted using techniques passed down through generations.

I popped into their stunning new store in Mayfair the other day to choose my pair, and it’s well worth a visit!

Thank you @carminashoemaker for my beautiful new shoes (which I’ll try my very best not to get paint on!) 🤎

Kids’ rooms that spark the imagination 💭✨

I loved designing and painting this mural in Madrid this time last year. As always it’s a dream to collaborate with my wonderful and talented friend @patriciaramirezdearcenegui - we had the best time creating this room for, Rafaela.

My ‘day to night sky’ for @joannawoodinteriors

#ceilingmural #muralartist #roomtransformation #spacemural #skymural by @izzybourdillon_design

Painting a day sky blending into a galactic, stormy night sky for @joannawoodinteriors ✨🌟🌌🌩️ (swipe to see the process!)

I often don’t know exactly how a project is going to turn out, and this was definitely one of those. I’d created sample boards for @joannawoodinteriors and @hattie.hansard, but transferring the idea onto such a large scale required a lot of faith in the process.

There are always moments at the beginning where everything feels a little sticky and awkward, and I wonder if I’m ever going to make it look beautiful. @molly.lumsden_art and I painted and painted, mixing glazes and washes, often painting straight over things we’d spent hours creating.

Getting a bright day sky to blend seamlessly into a stormy, galactic night was definitely a challenge, but I think this has become one of my favourite projects to date.

A huge thank you to @joannawoodinteriors for trusting the process, and to @alexhirtzelartist who stepped in last minute with her extraordinary space knowledge. We pored over her astronomy books for inspiration, adding spiral galaxies, the Milky Way and all sorts of celestial details.

I couldn’t have done it without the incredibly talented Alex and Molly 🤍

Such a joy creating this crazy imagined world for a recent project in Kensington. The drawings are inspired by Ludwig Bemelmans, who is best known for his illustrations in the book, Madeline, ( a childhood favourite of mine ) ❤️

Six days of non-stop painting to bring all four walls to life.

Couldn’t have done it without my right-hand woman @julianatemplerichards 🫶🏼

Swipe to see how I start designing a mural before I ever get to the painting stage 🎨

These initial sketches and mock-ups are what I show my clients before I arrive on site, helping them get an idea of how the finished mural might look in their space.

It’s always interesting to look back at these once a project is finished and see how the design evolves and comes to life once I actually start painting 👩‍🎨
