Alongside the pottery we had such incredible food @salemi.ceramics and @nanna_vita ✨as well as during the rest of the trip round the island, a moment for the tastebuds ! ✨#potteryretreat #salemiceramics #sicilyfood #twoicecreamsaday by @izzyk.studio
I RAN (very carefully) to the shed to do this pottery unboxing, the moment it arrived from Italy . So please excuse the out of breath ness and natural visage. 🌞Do they survive? Are they tiny and crap? The jeopardy!! 🌞 #potteryunboxing #potteryreveal #potteryprocess #ceramicscourse #handmadeceramics by @izzyk.studio
The final chapter. I learnt so much @salemi.ceramics but as any 90’s self help book would tell you, mostly about my self. Key learning - ✨BE BRAVE✨Do things you don’t want to do. Enjoy yourself. Book the trip. Invest in you. #salemiceramics #potteryretreat #potteryretreatitaly by @izzyk.studio
Day 3 @salemi.ceramics was maybe the best day?! Throwing off the hump, making jars, big things and tiny things. ❤️ an evening at the beach topped it off. Can we go back yet? #salemiceramics #sicilyceramics #potteryretreat thank you @zakiralab for the few good pictures in here! by @izzyk.studio
This summer I got to spend a whole week @salemi.ceramics doing an intermediate throwing course. I was terrified, what if I was awful what if the people were awful etc etc. I was proved wrong over and over. I met a bunch of pottery angels from all walks of life and found that actually I wasn’t awful with clay and actually I loved doing it everyday. This is part one. Had to split the magic up. Thank you to our incredible teacher @zakiralab who changed how I throw forever ❤️. #ceramicretreat #salemiceramics #italianpottery #sicily #potteryretreat by @izzyk.studio

Made it home and back to the garden from a busy 6 months in production world. Time to slow down and enjoy the summer. Time to get back in the potting shed. #drawingaday by @izzyk.studio
