Two weeks ago, I was told I was in an MS relapse and needed steroids immediately. My body said… pause. So I advocated for MRIs. Full brain. Cervical. Thoracic. (My first full set since 2017.) The results came back No new lesions. No active lesions. No enhancement. No disease progression. So… not a relapse. What I was feeling was real, but it wasn’t new disease. It was my body asking for support in a language that doesn’t get taught in textbooks. nervous system overload, circulation, stagnation, stress signals looking for regulation, not suppression. 20 years in this dis-ease has taught me that intuition isn’t emotional, it’s intelligence. I’m not anti-doctor. I’m not anti-meds. I’m anti-blind authority. You can respect medicine and still respect yourself more. Because the truth is no one lives in your body but you. No one feels your signals but you. And no one should make decisions about your body without evidence. If you’re on this journey ask questions. advocate for yourself, the root cause and know your baseline. Don’t let urgency override truth. Healing isn’t linear. It isn’t one-size-fits-all. And it definitely isn’t fear-based. It’s awareness. It’s alignment. It’s ownership. And it’s yours. by @j.kristophr

nuthn — act 2 between cities Over the weekend we popped-up and sold out. Today, I’m sharing the film and photographs that open this next act. Abstract A creative life doesn’t care where you are. I met the love of my life @j.kristophr at SCAD—me in architecture, her in fashion—and from the beginning it was two universes trying to learn how to coexist, collide, and create something deeper. Architecture was never the limit; it was just one of the mediums I used to interpret whatever idea was trying to come through. Over the years that expanded into art, tech, clay, photography, film, painting, fashion, graphics, code—anything that helped me translate the thought into form. Act 1 was the birth of nuthn—a collective built from the same creative hunger I felt in art school. Even though I was studying architecture, my days were spent with friends in film, fashion, photography, graphics, and painting. After graduation life got serious for everyone, but I still needed a place to experiment across disciplines. That’s how nuthnlab started: make nothing, create freely. Our first show, strange obsessions, was everything I hoped for—so successful the collective dissolved right after. I went back to creating alone. The loss of my brother, the birth of my son, the joy and grief—those became my studios. I made a lot of “nothings.” Nothings = @nuthn As a family, we’ve been making nothings for years—together and apart. Act 2 — Between Cities is our acknowledgment of each other as we move through our creative lives across Los Angeles, Lagos, Accra, and Morocco. Volume One brings together: • topo, my architecture-for-plants collection • a new fashion collection designed between cities • photographs and prints • artwork and studies • and all the fragments we’ve carried between places, people, and seasons This act is about movement, memory, and shared design—from mother to daughter, father to son. This is Between Cities. Thank you for the support for those that preorder your Boubou are coming straight from Lagos so bare with us. For those that want to support the site if coming soon. Where you can preorder directly, grab your prints and scoop the between cities merch. by @j.kristophr
it’s year 5 in monáe ìfẹ́ oladapo’s universe, and life keeps getting sweeter by the minute. this year, everything we’ve been waiting for is manifesting naturally. 2025 has brought more ups than downs, and we’ve been practicing how to reimagine home — it’s become a moving target. we’re all learning to live unapologetically, with clearly defined boundaries. our little 5-year-old has taught us not to take anything less than what we deserve. she’s definitely been here before — so wise, so beautiful, inside and out. i feel very blessed to be part of this journey, shepherding the coolest group of humans. it’s an honor to do it daily. as we step into the next chapter, may it be filled with more love, more wealth, more abundance, and more time with the people we cherish. by @j.kristophr

I think back to the day he was born and how I felt like I had met him before; how a part of me would now belong to him forever, and simultaneously, how he would bring life to new and old parts of myself. happy eighth my beautiful King, thank you for trusting me.
