PREGNANCY TRAVEL TIPS ✈️ What are your best traveling tips? Tag your pregnant friends! I’ve taken 10 flights in the last few months (including internationally) while being pregnant and have been keeping a list of my best practices. Traveling while pregnant can seem intimidating, but when you’re connected to your body and know how to take care of yourself it’ll boost your confidence and help you have a better trip!🧦 Compression pants & socks are a MUST!!!⏰ Get up once an hour and move around🤸🏼‍♀️ Stand up and stretch your calves, hip flexors, do hip circles, and side bends 🪑 Do the exercises shown while sitting to keep your circulation going. You can also do seared cat/cow and march knees to chest🎫 Ask for priority boarding 🙅‍♀️ Avoid heavy lifting if possible 🌬️If you do lift your bags, remember to “blow before you go”, engage your transverse core, and reduce intra-abdominal core pressure (to prevent Diastasis Recti) 😅 Stay hydrated with electrolytes 🧘‍♀️ Download guided meditations for the plane to keep your body relaxed and mind calm 😴 Sleep as much as you can, take breaks throughout your day to take naps Remember that you know your body best. Tune it, trust your body, and enjoy yourself! I’ve started releasing prenatal Barre workouts to my @barredefinition app, and getting amazing feedback from our community! I love flowing between two stretches to improve flexibility, balance, and coordination. The single leg pigeon back opens your hip rotators and glutes, while the low lunge foreword stretches your hip flexors, ankles, and calves. If you can’t get the flow right away, it’s ok! Do this everyday for 5 minutes if you’re wanting to get your middle splits, or increase flexibility in your hips, low back and inner thighs. I added the 1lb @barredefinition ankle weights for a little added pressure. #getstretchy by @actionjacquelyn

If a workout doesn’t engage my mind then im bored, and I wont feel motivated to workout the next day. So thats why I make my workouts feel engaging both with body and mind through dance inspired movements. This has always been my secret to helping thousands of women stay engaged in @barredefinition and why I hear over and over again from my community that they’re more consistent with my workouts than they ever have been in the past! On top of that, studies show that dancing or dance inspired workouts can significantly decrease the risk of Alzheimer’s and dementia by 76%!
