It’s a story of sabr (loads of it )shukar and insane Tawakul So glad I did this with mama baba who mashALLAH had more strength than I did while I fell sick on the first day of rami 🥲Met some amazing girls. We prayed ,cried, laughed and ate every camp food .Heard some amazing stories of taqwa and learnt religion more in practice than words .Don’t know what I am taking with me because there is so much that I can’t put in words for now but I know what I am leaving behind -the weight of things and emotions I had carried for a while.Detachments from every emotion and surrender is what hajj taught me and probably that’s one thing I am going to keep reminding myself again and again .Body is in aches but heart is fuller than ever Hajj Mubarak. May we all be blessed with the opportunity to fulfil this farḍ, and when we do, may it transform us internally even more than it does externally 🤍✨ by @durefishans

Eid Mubarak…meethaa mubarak. No aesthetics but how I actually spent Eid at Nani eating kachnarrr gosht and kheer with nan. Elite combo if you have not tried yet…🫠🤍🫶🏻Also, while having a discussion about politics, I realised how important it is, in the times we live in, to know what’s happening around us. It’s very, very cool to be politically aware, and it’s very “meh” to say, “I am not political.” It’s even cooler to truly understand your religion rather than just inherit it. No matter your age, no matter the day -learn. If it’s Islam, then read. Iqra -the first word of the Quran ..to read; to not simply believe what is told or fed to you, but to read and learn for yourself.I really hope we learn to vocalise and stand on the right side of history. This is important ..very, very important. Please talk about politics and religion with the same zest as we talk about celebrity gossip, which, from a very insight view , I can tell is not more cool /woke than knowing about world affairs and how they impact us -because they do, each one of us.Question politics. Question your surroundings. Not out of defiance, but out of a desire to be informed and thoughtful.xx by @durefishans
