How do we create this as our realities? As we move forward in the modern world, how can we find ways to slow down and listen to the wisdom of our elders? Where do we find these wise elders, rather than those that are just older than us?Thank you sister @sacred.origins for sharing these words that have sparked a revelation of the heart, mind & spirit. In a world where council has become a forgotten memory of the past, I pray we can begin to light the path back to forming true councils. I pray for opportunities to be gathered to listen to wise grandmothers, and learn from them. Without this bond society fractures. We’re seeing the ripples of broken bonds between the mother and children throughout all aspects of life throughout the world. If mothers were treated as the divine beings they are when they are carrying children and given the space and support to then raise those children with love and all their needs met, how much more peaceful would our world be? What would it be like if our children didn’t have to grow into adults too early and then try to unravel all the trauma done to them. What if they were able to be pure as long as possible? Seen for their wholeness and unique selves from the beginning? Not standardized and separated from their families to be taught by strangers?What if we allowed children to be our healers, and we learned from their vast wisdom rather than trying to mold them to our liking?What if the bond between mother & child was revered as the most precious gift to be respected and nourished?Curious what your thoughts about this connection are, and how the audience for this page shifts as the mothers and children are lifted up here as the inspiration for posting by @originsofmama

Origins Gathering began as a call from the earth to bring women to gather. Origins of Mama is a pivot that was ushered in by the need of a child for more presence of his mama. It’s strange how incredibly busy life can become. We find a passion or job that takes up the majority of our time, and for a time some of these may be more than worthy of that dedication of ourselves. Then the birth of a child makes a mother, and everything changes. We reassess our priorities and figure out how to juggle is all. When the reality is we should need to juggle it all. We should be able to prioritize our children. All it takes is dismantling almost everything we knew and building back from a place of surrender and trust. Sometimes everything needs to fall apart before you realize what’s really needed of you now. New writing coming in substack later today. Link in bio 🌱 by @originsofmama

We’re in a season of incubation.A quiet tending. A pause on the outside while things re-align underneath.The gathering that didn’t happen this year…The weight of holding a once-a-year space for women…The turbulence of planning around the outside world…It all showed us something:If the container doesn’t hold the mothers first,If the roots aren’t tended…It’s not sustainable.So we’re returning to what matters most.Back to the origins. 🌿 Elder wisdom is medicine.There is a kind of healing that only comes from sitting at the feet of grandmothers — listening to their stories, feeling the steadiness in their hands, and being reminded that we are part of something much bigger than ourselves.Generational healing begins when we gather close, when we remember, and when we let their presence soften the places in us that have carried too much, for too long.May we honor the elders.
