✂️🪡🌺The process of making my dear friend Jamie’s Minerva dress… You may recognise Jamie as she is a fellow macramé artist and the face and heart of @jac.home.heart. We’ve been friends for years but I have not yet had the honour to create for her so I thought I’d document the entire process 🤳🏽✨ Jamie is also the Content manager for a well-known Australian company (How she does it all with 5 children I have no idea!!) We can’t wait to show you pics from the Gala night where she’s going to wear her Denisse M Vera look. Coming soon ❤️ Exclusive Denisse M Vera print developed from a comissioned artwork by @annieeveringham 🎨🌺 by @jac.home.heart
Hello, it’s me 😊 It’s been so so long since I’ve made a post! 2023 to be exact 😅 Some of you knew I was wrapping up my fibre arts business. I was losing the desire to create, and after 20 years of the self-employed hustle, I was just… tired 😅 I stopped creating, applied for a few jobs, and to my surprise, I landed one pretty quickly as a Content Manager 😅 I guess all those years of social media posts paid off 😆 Life looks very different now (all in less than two years!). First, there was the massive learning curve of working in the corporate world and being part of a marketing team. I’m doing things I never thought I was capable of… but turns out, I am! (I’ll save that for another post 😄) Secondly, I moved to the city—which took a bit of persuasion and 6 months of adjusting—but I actually really like it now. I do miss being close to friends though, and I often feel like the new awkward kid on the block, trying to make friends at the dog park with my big boy Bubba (my 6th child 😆). I’ve also had some proud parenting moments: 👮‍♂️ One of my big kids is now a police officer 🎨 Another is an aspiring artist with her work exhibiting at art expo 🎓 And another is doing a business degree! I guess we did something right 😅 I often wonder how my online friends are doing and what you’re all up to. I really miss the fibre arts community and I actually miss knotting now. If you’re still around, let me know in the comments what you’ve been up to ❤️ —Jamie x #macrame #macramewallhanging #fibreartist #whereareyounow #knots by @jac.home.heart

✨📣 ANNOUNCING my first Macramé garment-making MASTERCLASS in the new Denisse M Vera studio in Camden, Australia on August 10th!! Around this time last year, my partner and I travelled to my Motherland, Chile to deliver my first Masterclass with an incredible group of Chilean women, lovingly hosted by @hechanudo 🇨🇱🪢 I learned the art of macramé back in 2013 from an artisan in the Chilean desert, so it was deeply meaningful to take all of my learnings back to where my macramé journey began. Now, with a freshly built HQ, I’m so excited to host and facilitate my first Masterclass right here in Australia. So, if you’ve been experimenting with macramé garment-making or you’re a well-seasoned macramé maker, please join us! We cannot wait to open our doors to a special group of creative souls who wish to learn, create and connect in the new Denisse M Vera studio. If you’re interested and would like further details, simply send us as DM with your email address and we will be in touch 📧 * Videography by @elastudios * Makeup by @joannayounanmakeup • Model @sdavids.04 #macrame #masterclass #macramemakers by @jac.home.heart
Take my hand and come into our world 🫴🏽✨ A world we’ve been nurturing for the past 10 years… and we have some very exciting news regarding an upcoming MASTERCLASS 🥳✨ My name is Denisse and I dreamt up this label when I was around 13. I watched my Dad as he navigated life and business with so much heart and it was at that young age, I decided I also wanted to be a business owner. I then learned to sew and became obsessed with fashion throughout high school so by year 12 I decided I would be a fashion designer and run my own business with craftsmanship, quality and heart at its foundations. Since launching in 2014, I’ve established a well-renowned business and become know as the pioneer of this style of macramé fashion. I’ve travelled to my motherland Chile to teach a Masterclass hosted by @hechanudo , created garments for clients, for celebrities and for film whilst always staying true to the values on which I founded Denisse M Vera. Last year, I reached the greatest achievement of all. I built and moved into the Denisse M Vera HQ. A workspace I’d dreamt up, saved up for and worked towards since I was 13. Since moving in, I have had client fittings and photoshoots in the new space. I’ve hosted workshops and met with creatives to organise and plan upcoming projects. Most recently I was photographed by @elastudios for a brand photoshoot which could not have come at a better time!! Why?? 🤔 Because this photoshoot has captured a very meaningful moment in time for Denisse M Vera and also provided me with the perfect footage to make an exciting announcement… I will be facilitating and hosting the first Denisse M Vera Macramé garment-making Masterclass to be held in our very own studio!! ✨✨ An intensive, full-day experience of learning, creating and connecting right here in our sun-drenched, love-filled design space ✨✨ There will be more information to come but in the meantime, please reach out if you’re interested to join us on this very special occasion ✨✨ Brand videographer @elastudios Makeup by @joannayounanmakeup Model featured @sdavids.04 #denissemvera #macrame #garmentmaking #masterclass #macrameworkshop #macrametutorials by @jac.home.heart
El proceso es mágico!! ✨ The process is magic!! Cutting, pattern-making, sewing, fitting, hemming, visit from Bodhi and the final fitting… it’s not often that we film every step, so it’s quite special that we get to share the whole process with you. Our Minerva dress features the Aurora print, an exclusive, commissioned painting by Australian artist - and fellow UTS alumni - @annieeveringham. Thank you to Annie for capturing our floral vision so well!! It’s always such a pleasant experience working with this print and especially when it’s for my dear friend @jac.home.heart 🌺✨ How stunning does Jamie look?! 😍😍 Music by @humbe.wav by @jac.home.heart
SO wonderful to host - and participate in - @fibrasbyvirginia’s Modern Punch Needle workshop on Saturday!! Our very first event at the New Denisse M Vera HQ and it was such a beautiful success 🥹💛 Thank you to my friend and fellow artist, Virginia, for sharing your art, and to the ladies who attended with open hearts and minds. Punch needling was so therapeutic and I loved working on a different textiles technique with such gorgeous colours!! Mil gracias @fibrasbyvirginia!! 🤗 Gracias also to @matt.budrodeen for always capturing the best footage 🤗 After Saturday I’m feeling so excited to open our doors to fellows artists and creatives. So REACH OUT if you’re looking to offer a workshop, session or gathering 💜 by @jac.home.heart
