🏆 The 2024 Powercor Stawell Gift final was a thriller. In a nail-biting finish, as we waited for confirmation, David Culbert called it: "I think you’ll find the winner is the pink—Jack Lacey!" 🎤The Nick Fiedler coached champion narrowly edged out a field featuring Jake Ireland, Maki Loukeris, Endale Mekonnen, Brad Hunt and Jerome Lugo, claiming victory on a track that had earlier been hit by an unprecedented downpour. "I thought the track condition would suit me, credit to the organisers for getting it race-ready," Jack said after the dramatic delay. He’s back to defend his title this Easter, can he go back-to-back? 🏃‍♂️💨🎟️ Don’t miss the action. Get your tickets now via Ticketek. What a dream come true. Growing up, winning the Stawell Gift is the dream of many young athletes, and I feel so incredibly grateful to be one of the winners. I can’t express in words how much this means to me, but I’ll try. Nick Fiedler - I know I haven’t been the most focused of your athletes in my early years training under you, but the last few years you saw a change in my attitude and started to believe I could achieve what I wanted in athletics and I can’t thank you enough. For all the hard work, sleepless nights and cruel training programs you have come up with for me over the many years I have been under your guidance, it was all worth it! To my partner Meg You have sacrificed the most for me to achieve this dream. I told you last year that I think I could win this, but I don’t think we both realised how much time, effort and consumption this achievement would need. I poured my heart into this year and so did you! Thank you for all your support and sacrifices you made to make this come true! To all @team.fiedler past and present, you all mean so much to me and are my family. We all show up time and time again in worse weather than experienced on Monday. We all believe in one another and believe we can all achieve whatever we want, and I think that has been proven by all of our successes over the last few seasons! Love all of you 💙 To my family, thank you for being there from the very start of my running journey and supporting me since. It can’t have been easy driving around Victoria for all my meets, but thank you for your belief and all the support from those seasons until now. I couldn’t have done it without you. There’s a couple of people that need a special mention as well: Dr. @laurenhayness @muscleactiontherapies @_foles__ Also a big thanks to the VAL, Stawell Athletic Club and everyone that helped out along the way to get this event running and get us racing! It is a huge effort considering the circumstances that crazy weather had in store! Photographers 📸 @marked_moments_ To everyone else who tuned in, sent me messages and supported in any way, I thankyou also! You support means so much to me! ❤️ by @jack.lacey13
Not a season to remember, luckily there is another. Big thanks to @team.fiedler for their ongoing support year in year out. @muscleactiontherapies for treating me all year on very short notice 😂 📸 @marked_moments_ by @jack.lacey13

The defending Men's Stawell Gift champion returns to defend his title. The recent Bendigo Gold Nugget winner is in some fine form. What will be Jack Lacey's mark for 2025 over the Gift distance? 🤔 #track #athletics #running #athleticsnation #melbournerunning #prorunning #trackandfield #stawellgift by @jack.lacey13
Jack Lacey comfortably wins semi final 5 of last year’s Powercor Stawell Gift. As the rain loomed, the Team Fiedler athlete kept it simple heading into the final: “Give it your best, that’s all you can really do.” Who will rise to the occasion in 2025? Catch all the action at Central Park, Stawell this Easter. Tickets on sale now.
