In “honor” well I don’t know if it’s a true honor But in honor of “Rare Disease day” Neurofibromatosis type 1 Neurofibromatosis (NOOR-oh-FY-broh-muh-TOH-sis) and schwannomatosis (shwah-NOH-muh-TOH-sis) are rare genetic conditions that causes changes in skin pigment and tumors on nerve tissue. Skin changes include flat, light brown spots and freckles in the armpits and groin. Tumors can grow anywhere in the nervous system, including the brain, spinal cord and nerves. #rarediseaseday #nf1 #neurofibromatosis #tumors #benign r by @jackie_silance

September 20 marks “world Hydrocephalus Day” 💙 🌎 What is hydrocephalus? A build-up of fluid in the cavities deep within the brain. The extra fluid puts pressure on the brain and can cause brain damage. Hydrocephalus affects many individuals in many walks of life and hydrocephalus can develop at any time with no explanation. I have had 15 brain surgeries since I was 6yrs old #HAM2024 #hydroassoc #WorldHydrocephalusDay #awareness #blessed #godisgood #brainsurgery #abbynormal #brainsurgerysurvivor #water by @jackie_silance
