Kahlia, I’m so proud of you and we aren’t even done yet.

Only 5 months between these, and this shows how little the scale has mattered in your journey. Only 8 pound difference.

She came to me wanting to lose 30. She’s not there yet, and I’d still say this is one of the biggest changes I’ve seen in a client.

Early on she told me falling short of military physical standards was a “reality check” that made her “want to push harder.” Then she did the unglamorous stuff: packed her car for a drive across the country and figured out food from gas stations, dropped the energy drinks, started sending me training videos, and learned that sometimes to the plan isn’t the plan.

It wasn’t clean the whole way though. The scale sat around 204 for weeks, and eventually we had a call and worked through things deeper.

We reset, and she went 204.6 → 199.9 in four weeks.

When she saw these photos side by side she told me, “For the longest I would come up with excuses… to try and make myself feel better for being so out of shape.”

Then she deployed. Still there too. Still progressing. No phone in the gym, chow hall food, a hard time even finding a scale, spreadsheets that won’t save without wifi. So we rebuilt her plan three ways so she can follow it with whatever she has that day. She still checks in whenever she gets signal. Hit a new low of 198.4 this month.

She’s still in Phase 2. Still working. Proud of you, Kahlia. This is the beginning!
