Dear Baseball,

You were my first love and my biggest dream. You taught me how to be a man and gave me life lessons that I’ll hold onto forever. Playing this game where failure is happening more times than not isn’t easy but I’ve learned that’s just how baseball goes. A perfect game of imperfections. You watched me grow up and watched me pour everything I have into this game. Through the early mornings, late nights, long drives and everything in between you’ve always been my happy place. The field was my escape from reality where I could just go have fun. Playing this game for as long as I did was always just a dream that I turned into reality.

To my teammates, thank you for becoming my brothers. I will hold onto the memories we made on and off the field forever. From the dugout, the locker room and even to the hotel parking lot playing hacky sack I will cherish those moments for a lifetime.

To my parents, thank you for always believing in me. When the game was hard y’all never gave up on me. Thank you for all the miles traveled, all the money spent and all the time you gave for me to chase this dream. I will always be incredibly thankful for y’all giving me the opportunity to prove people wrong and prove myself. Thank you for pushing me to become the man I am today. I couldn’t have done any of this without you.
