Howards is under new ownership!

As of yesterday, Howards Club H has been aquired by Jacob Fowler, Ellie Hart, and Morgan Kesler. We made the decision to buy this bar because not only do we all have a great love for music and bar culture- but we also care about our community, and want to use this space to help foster that as much as possible. We also understand the history of Howards and want to bring life into a place that has become an essential staple to Bowling Green!

We hope to see all of you in the coming weeks :)

WEEKEND PHOTO DUMP

The past few days I got to go on a little weekender tour with Mango Tree and Memory Gardens and run merch/do roadie stuff, and I had an absolute blast!! Doing this kind of stuff just reiterates how much I want to keep doing music things, and I'm so damn lucky to get to do it with so many dear friends <3

All my love to Aloe, Taylor, Denny, Chance, Hunter, Roz, Bergie, chicago dawgs, Dana Skully, Chris, Penny, all 5 cats I got to see, Wawa, Celine, the Respirator boys, Bowling Green Taco Bell, and every single person who came to a show in Chicago, Indianapolis, and Bowling Green 💜

We have nothing without community, and I'm beyond thankful for the one I've built around me.

Man, 2025.

Easily one of the worst years of my life for a slew of reasons, but I'm glad that there was also a plethora of other moments that made it worth pushing through.

Lots of friends, lots of love, none of which I would trade for the world. This was a rough one for many others too, and I'm glad we got each other to get through it.

Despite losing the Swarmyard this year, I'm thankful that I got to still have many awesome shows, and host so many friends. Many house venues don't get to go out with such a bang like we did. Much love to equipment there. Getting too big for the basement just shows what we as a community can do, and bigger stuff is coming soon (iykyk)

Despite getting sacked from Howards, I still got to put on Rat Fest 2, my third festival. Truly just an excuse to get to hang out with friends, and it was a magical birthday weekend. I'm also glad I could get to be as much of a part of Faux this year as I was as well, that fest honestly made me the guy i am today.

and despite losing Joy, I'm glad to know that we all have a network of loved ones all around us, and we all were able to be here for each other. I wish she could be here to feel it too, but we make do. We gotta make it through this next year, and the one after that, and the one after that, and so on. If not for yourself, for those around you. for those good moments that stick out. Cant beg yall enough to stick around.

Some other year highlights are stoopfest, Grumpies letting me put on shows, many other sweet shows, my first tractor pulls, and the iconic LotR watch party.

Still, fuck 2025. Going into 2026 with optimism unearned, because damn we gotta. Glad to have y'all join me in moving on to the next year, I'll see y'all there 💜 by @howardsclubhbg

I want to thank everybody from the bottom of my heart who came out to the memorial show on Sunday, it was beyond wonderful getting to be around so many friends and loved ones, and see how many people Joy has touched in her life.

Throughout the day, we were taking donations for the charity "To Write Love on Her Arms", and I am ecstatic to say that we raised over SIX HUNDRED DOLLARS ($618 to be exact) <3

I know Joy wouldn't have wanted it any other way, a bunch of loved ones enjoying music in a small bar in Bowling Green for a good cause. I hope they have rumplemintz in heaven, so you could have joined us having a great time in your honor <3

If anyone has any pictures or videos from the night, I'd love to see them! The two I attached are pictures I took from the last two times i got to see her :)

Joy Elizabeth Sitler

I can not use words to describe how absolutely devastated I am to hear about her passing. Joy was a close friend of mine. We lived together, worked on many projects together, and would often have long conversations about anything, from her daily nature walk to magic the gathering.

Beautiful Rat Records and the Swarmyard would not be what they are without her. She helped book my first shows, and I have had the honor to work with her on multiple projects. Ahe truly was one of the greatest musicians I have had the honor to work with, and one of the best individuals who I have had the honor to call a friend.

Joy has touched countless lives, and truly was the epitome of her own name. I haven't been able to stop crying since I first heard the news yesterday.

Please, keep on fighting. Keep on living. Keep on keeping on, I beg of you.

If anyone ever needs anything, please reach out. Don't let it simmer or dwell. People are here for you, and we love you.

Joy, you'll be missed. But we will keep on surviving in your honor. We must. I love you Joy. I hope you've finally found peace. by @howardsclubhbg

HAPPY BIRTHDAY QUINN!!!!

Happy 27 (old) to my dearest friend, Quinn!! They've been a homie for a long ass time, through thick n thin, and I'm honored to not only get to call them my roommate, but call them my best friend.

Hope this year treats ya well as hell! and to at least a few more (but hopefully many). by @howardsclubhbg

MAY PHOTODUMP :)

May was a chockful month, dang!

I hosted my own 2 day music festival with 24 acts, something that if you told me I'd do 5 years ago, I'd think you're thinking waaay too highly of what I'm capable of doing. I also had a BIRTHDAY that same weekend, and became a young man of 27 😤 I am forever thankful of all the friends who played, volunteered, and came out to Rat Fest, and I have so much love in my heart for everyone involved. Extra shoutout to my friends for the cake surprise!!

THAT WASN'T THE END OF IT THO!! Next weekend, I ended up at stoopfest, which was insaaane. I got no photos, but i got to see so many of my favorite bands and my heart was full!! and that still wasn't the end! Very next day I got up to dee troit to see cheekface + pacing! If i could spend every weekend like the first two of may, I absolutely would.

Outside of that, I enjoyed the nice weather, worked a whole lot, hosted another banger house show with some of my favorites, and have spent a LOT of time around friends <3
