“Alignment” is a powerful reflection on the beautiful side of memento mori and the tenderness of the temporary. Life and death sit in perfect alignment, one giving meaning and beauty to the other.

This piece depicts two humpback whales encircling a dancing woman, their forms intertwined in shared spiritual space. They remind us that while our bodies are small, our emotions, vast, powerful, and all-consuming, shape our entire existence.

Born from love, the work is bright and colourful, pulling the viewer into the vivid opening the woman creates for herself. It carries a quiet sombreness beneath its vibrant design, balancing lightness and depth in its portrayal of the human condition, forcing the audience to acknowledge their entanglement with the natural world.
