It’s an honor to have been selected (@larryjayghana) to represent my motherland Ghana 🇬🇭 at the Commonwealth Heads Of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in Rwanda. Humbled to have met @theroyalfamily HRH King Charles of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall. It was exciting having the Royals take a look at my brand @larryjayghana and creativity. Thanks to @britishcouncil for fully sponsoring us. Thanks to @collectiverw and @fashionscout for putting together an amazing show. •Ignore my hair, I was having a bad hair day 😂. #CHOGM2022 #CHOGM #RFW2022 #VisitRwanda #RwandaFashionWeek #CollectiveRW #fashionscout by @jafaruofficial
THE BIGGEST PART OF THE BRAND HAS ALWAYS BEEN PROTECTING OUR ENVIRONMENT. In less than a month being in the USA for our activations as part of our 2024 tours, we are excited to have shared with News12 in New Jersey @news12nj our sustainable story and upcyclying initiative of how we transform fabric waste dumped in Ghana mostly from the west into our artisanal Larry Jay apparels of aesthetic value, Our contribution to solving unemployment problems by working hand in hand with the local people in our community back in Ghana and how we preserve our heritage and culture incorporating handwoven fabrics made in the northern part of Ghana in our design process. Special thanks to @omuwaluxe @thejewelmcgowan for seeing the real essence of Larry Jay, Camila Mello of Beauty Bar for the space and @theenaomiyane for capturing our story beautifully for @news12nj @news12 We appreciate and love everyone supporting ❤️ by @jafaruofficial
Excited on this journey!!! We shared our growth process and sustainability journey with @dwnews via Afrimaxx a few months ago and we are excited it’s finally aired for the first time in Germany! Kindly watch the full feature on our production processes and journey so far. How we are able to transform some of the fabric waste being dumped here in Africa, Ghana into your artisanal Larry Jay garments. Part of our ethos as a brand is protecting our environment, helping solve unemployment by providing job opportunities for our local people and empowering indigenous craftsmanship. Thanks to everyone that has been with us on our journey, supporting and pushing brand Larry Jay. by @jafaruofficial
Few weeks ago, as part of #NYFW shows we were invited by @coterie_show X @creativeafricanexus to speak on a panel themed BEYOND BOARDERS: Scaling African Brands Globally. We did this with amazing co-brands KIBONEN and KENEEA LINTON. Thanks to Khanyi Mashimbye (Manager at Afreximbank | Creative and Cultural Industries) for being on this panel with us. Special thanks to COTERIE for this platform and the entire team @ruthlietzow (International Business Development Manager at Fashion by informa) our moderator extraordinaire @edwinakulego (VP of Events, International, Men’s & SOURCING at MAGIC) This wouldn’t have been possible without @creativeafricanexus and @afreximbankofficial #larryjayghana #AfricanCreatives #coterie #summer #transseasonal #fashion #sustainability #sustainablefashion #ethical #nyfw #newyork by @jafaruofficial

As part of the Invest Ghana Business Forum & Exhibition, organized by the Ghana Export Promotion Authority in Philadelphia, we had the opportunity to engage with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce for a day of meaningful business conversations, networking, and cultural exchange. From showcasing Ghanaian fashion and handcrafted products to sharing authentic Ghanaian cuisine, the event celebrated the innovation, creativity, and heritage that Ghana has to offer. A special highlight for us was seeing our Jute & Leather Traveller from our #DABOYAtoLONDON Collection make headlines once again, this time earning a place in @stonebwoy’s closet. This is 1 of 8. Moments like these continue to inspire our journey as we take sustainable Ghanaian craftsmanship to the world. Seeing a piece born from sustainable craftsmanship and Ghanaian heritage resonate so naturally is a reminder that true luxury is rooted in authenticity, purpose, and timeless design. This is more than a bag. IT IS A STORY OF GHANA CARRIED FORWARD! #LarryJayGhana #SustainableFashion #Ghana #Africa Video edited by: @focalinception by @jafaruofficial
