3 years ago I awoke to one of the worst phone calls I have ever received… there had been a fire at my shop.

I frantically rushed over, praying that somehow the damage was minor. However, as I arrived, my worst fears were confirmed; my home away from home, the shop that I had poured my all into, had been destroyed. I remember entering the building with the rest of our team, completely in shock, as we evaluated the extent of the damage. All of our equipment, service library, parts, countless customer units…. gone. It seemed like this was likely the end of this amazing place that we all loved.

But what I could have never predicted is how the attitude of everyone on the team immediately shifted from defeat to one of perseverance. Even though it was completely unclear how; we would survive this. Over the following months and years we poured our all into persisting and rebuilding.

Here we are, three years later, beginning our move back into our shop. Somehow we pulled this off…

I cant express enough how grateful am for my team, our supportive customers and vendors, and with my family and friends for their love and guidance during this whole process.

The return of Sierra Nevada World Music Festival… wow! What an amazing weekend filled with great music, trips, discoveries and most of all this amazing reggae family of ours. Came away from this experience feeling so blessed. Huge respect to Gretchen and the team who made it happen and to the late great Warren Smith who created this wonderful festival for us all. Can’t wait to do it again next year. Long live SNWMF!

In my shop this past month, a Yamaha M1516 from 1984. Client wanted transformer coupled direct outs for all 16 channels through two db25 connectors.
