I have officially graduated from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering. It’s hard to put into words what these past four years have meant to me. When I first came to Starkville, I expected to earn a degree — but I never expected how much this university would shape my life, my future, and the person I’ve become. Along the way I met lifelong friends, incredible mentors, and most importantly, my fiancée, Maddy Green. Walking across the stage alongside her and some of my best friends made this milestone even more meaningful. I am deeply thankful for every experience, challenge, and opportunity that came with my time at MSU. Through internships, classes, organizations, and the people around me, I’ve grown not only as a student, but as a person. The lessons learned here extend far beyond engineering and will stay with me for the rest of my life.
Next on my journey, I’ll be remaining in Starkville while my soon-to-be wife completes her Master’s in Applied Anthropology, and I’m currently seeking job opportunities as I begin this next chapter. Before that, though, I’ll be spending June and July in Magog, Canada serving at Camp Livingstone on a mission trip — an opportunity I’m incredibly excited and grateful for.

I am going on a mission trip this summer, serving at Camp Livingstone in Quebec, Canada. While there, I will be working as a Senior Camp Counselor, allowing me to witness to children and teenagers at the camp.

To help fund this amazing opportunity, I have partnered with "Fund the Nations" to design and sell t-shirts. All profits go towards this trip. Any help, either donating, purchasing a shirt, or even just sharing this information, helps.

When first signing up for my first beach reach years ago, the idea of going out to strangers sharing the gospel throughout the night sounded completely wild. But after my 3rd time going on this Incredible trip, I’d have to say that the experiences you go through, the memories made, and the conversations had are truly amazing. Praise God we had this opportunity and got to see Him work so beautifully this week. So many heard who had never heard before and so many seeds were planted or watered all around us, it really was remarkable. To my incredible team of beach reachers who were walking alongside me, thank you for the encouragement and building me up throughout the week. Though it’s been almost an entire month since I’ve gotten back, I still can’t believe I was so blessed to go on this trip. Athens, Greece is a place so full of wonder and beautiful sites and, though only there for 10 days, I got to do more than I ever thought I’d be able to. A big thank you to WorldStrides, MSU StudyAbroad, and everyone else who helped me get there. To the places I’ve been, the people met, experiences had, and the community there that took us in, it truly was a once in a lifetime opportunity. So for anyone else considering taking the chance, go for it, because I am so glad I did.

If you went and told Jake back in high school, or honestly even as a newly-made freshman here at college that I’d find my future wife here. Well, I guess by now he’d have to start believing you as it’s come true. To my lovely future bride, I love you. We have been dating for 3 long and incredible years and I can’t wait to see that date keep growing. Next year on our 4 year anniversary, next beautiful November 7th, I will not only be blessed to be able to call you mine for yet another year dating, but you will become my wife and I your husband.
My love, my future, and my dear partner in crime, if anyone were to ask me who you are, I’d have to say that you are the hardest worker I know, the best friend to so many, a daughter to a loving family and even more loving Heavenly Father. You are just as much a light to others and to me as you claim I am. You are truly my best friend, my bride-to-be, and my other half. You are everything to me, I love you.

3 years...3 YEARS!

I can't believe that I have had the blessing of loving the one and only Jake Dawson Rice for 3 years already. In only a year from today, I will become his wife, and we will begin the rest of our lives together.

I have been asked several times what I love most about Jake, what made me fall for him, why I love him, etc, and the answer has always been the same: his light. If you want to see what it looks like when your life is illuminated by the love of the Lord and to radiate that joy, look no further than Jake. He glows with his love of the Lord, his family, and his friends; he burns with a zest and joy for life. This is why I call him my sunshine. He is such a bright spot in my life and the lives of those around us.

Isaiah‬ ‭61‬:‭1‬ ‭HCSB‬ I am still at a loss for words for what an incredible spring break this has been. I loved joining Bridgeway for yet another Beach Reach to Panama City, Fl and it was so evident of God moving through that place. Truly, I am not worthy of all that God has blessed me with, let alone this incredible girl I have absolutely fallen in love with over the past 2 and 1/2 years.
