J’ai attendu ça toute ma vie, ne sois pas un étranger, Doja. ✨💕 by @jalencanspell
Another week at my favorite place on earth!! 💚💚💚 I’m so grateful to have the opportunity to return for my 4th year and give back to this community filled with amazing people, traditions, and magic. ✨ I genuinely would not be the person I am today without Mt. Triumph. Here, I have been taught how to lead, build confidence, and what it means to build a community. Every year I say it gets harder to take pictures after dinner here, and it’s because I don’t have enough time to capture every amazing person I’ve been fortunate enough to make a connection with. Meeting so many amazing people gives me hope for the future, and is one of the many reasons I love returning here every July. One of my favorite parts about this time around was getting to immerse myself as part of the JC/staff family, where there are so many people that have the same passion for leadership as I do. Thank you to everybody who saw my potential and gave me this wonderful opportunity to spread my knowledge and experience to new delegates—I am forever grateful. I would also like to give the most heartfelt thanks to my third-year JCs Abby, Gianna, and Nina. You bring the heart of Mt. Triumph and make this camp what it is. Thank you for guiding me and the rest of the JCs, showing us what an exemplary leader is. May we see each other in the future, and I wish you all the best with whatever comes next. 🫰 It’s always a pleasure to be present at Mt. Triumph and make Cispus Magic. Same time next year? 💚✨ #mttriumph @mttriumph by @jalencanspell
I would choose you 1000000 times to do over again, Lynnwood High School. All the laughing, hard assignments, crying, and amazing events shaped me into the person I am today, and I am so thankful for everyone who was a part of it. I hope to come back someday not as a student, but as a teacher and coach to inspire the next generations as I was inspired. I’m a man of many words, but I’ll keep this short. I love this school so deeply, and I will always remember everyone that made it so much fun. (I could only tag 20 people sorry) by @jalencanspell

Tiny post for last Davis Invite 🥺💔 Only one of these pictures was taken by me 😅 📸: @sy.sheri by @jalencanspell
Thank you to the sport that broke me down and built me right back up more times than I can count. I wish I could run up the steepest hill even just one more time so I can have another race, and scream my lungs out to cheer for my best friends that I found here. Thank you XC, I left it all on the course ✌️ (Late Banquet Post) by @jalencanspell
Almost done, can’t believe I’m here already 😢 #ss by @jalencanspell
3. Finding Moments in the Stillness Thank you Mt. Triumph for all of the moments that you’ve created for me. This camp hasn’t just turned me into a leader, but it has also changed me as a person, allowing me to have the confidence to be myself. The confidence to branch out into different sports, talk to new people, and stay in leadership even after losing my election the previous year all came from this camp. Something that I’ve learned over the years is that you have to persevere and not be afraid to take the leap out of your comfort zone (do the damn thing). By doing that your dreams and aspirations can always come true, because only doing it the easy way can never lead to growth of character or achievements. Being able to go to Mt. Triumph all three years (despite not winning my previous election) is such a beautiful opportunity that not many get to experience. I’m so grateful for all of these fantastic memories and I’m excited to take it back to my school one last time. I can’t wait to try and apply for the opportunity of being a JC this next year so I can foster a place where other leaders can create that Cispus Magic. Love you Mt. T. 💙 3/3 by @jalencanspell
2. Mt. Triumph Friends 2025 Personally, I’d say that one of the most important parts of going to Cispus is all of the connections that you get the opportunity to build. And over these past three years—which is such an incredibly rare opportunity to be at for that long, I have gotten to create and strengthen so many bonds at this fantastic place (that’s Cispus Magic! 🪄✨). I will always remember my Council J, S, and O, that I got to laugh and cry with every year, building a unique bond that you can’t find ANYWHERE else. A special shoutout to my Council O (The Ouncil 😝)! I definitely did not expect to get paired with Sedro Woolley again 2 years later, but I am SO overjoyed that I got to meet this school again (with some old and many new faces). Getting to laugh so hard doing cartwheels on the deck and playing Quack Dilly Oso created unforgettable memories. Thank you to SC Payton and JC Anna for creating a space where we could all get closer comfortably and grow as leaders together, this experience would NOT have been the same if any one of us weren’t there. A shoutout to everyone that makes Mt. Triumph happen: our Directors, Leanne and Roberta (my Costco queen!), that led us through meals every day; our JC Coordinator J-Rad, who created the BEST team of JCs ever for us; our wonderful kitchen staff, who painstakingly made meals for almost 300 people three times a day; our SCs who taught us what leadership was at its core, and how to bring it back to school; our JCs, who ALWAYS brought the hype at traditions and closings (especially on the first day); our nurse Jon, who was always there to make sure we were healthy; our amazing challenge course staff, who created the safe environment to challenge ourselves as a council together; and last but definitely not least, our AWSL Director James Layman, who was always selling hoodies and shirts in the office while teaching us what “spirit” really is at school. I’m sure I missed some people that deserve to be recognized for all the hard work they put in at Cispus this year, and so many years before, but just know that I am so, so grateful to everybody that puts together this unique experience every year. 2/3 by @jalencanspell
1. Lynnwood Mt. Triumph 2025 Getting to spend a week with these people and watching them grow into leaders has been such a blessing and honor. Something I love about Cispus is that the experience is ALWAYS different every year, and this year will be unforgettable and ingrained to my memory with this team. And my Ofelia! I’m so happy to have a Lynnwood JC out there with us so we can still feel like we’re at home while branching out to other people. You’re such a gem, and I’m glad you got the opportunity to be a JC! 💙 1/3 by @jalencanspell
Congrats Class of 2025! Time to spread your wings. - - - - - I wish I got pictures with more of my lovely seniors but people were leaving fast :( by @jalencanspell
What A SEASON! I am so happy with all of the improvement and growth I have experienced throughout it (I GOT MY LETTER THIS YEAR), and I have to thank my coaches and friends, because I couldn’t have done this well without them. To Coach Steph, the reason I’m even doing this running thing: You inspire me every single day at practice and meets to push myself past my limit to improve. It seems so unreal to me that you won’t be our head coach next year for XC or Track, and I know you’ll be there on occasion, but it’s going to be so strange not hearing your voice echo across the fields cheering us on with all your heart at some meets (seriously, everyone knows what a Stephanie cheer sounds like). I’m so excited for you and this incredible opportunity you have to go work in (what I’m pretty sure is one of your favorite places in the world) Italy. I love you dearly Coach Stephanie, and I’m going to miss you as my coach SO MUCH! 😢 And to Coach Meg, my favorite person to yap with after practice is over with: Thank you for always motivating me and giving me so many laughs, even when I’m nervous on the field, about to get on the line to start a 1600, you never fail to get me focused and make me less nervous. It’s so crazy to me that we only just got you as a coach for XC this fall, because (and I’m sure others would agree with me on this) it feels like you’ve been with us forever, and it would not be the same team without you there as a coach. I’m so excited to see what XC will bring this next year with you as our head coach (🤞), and I’m looking forward to working with you as a captain and with the other captains to make MAGIC! 🪄 This concludes my Junior year of sports, and this year was a RIDE! So many PR’s and so many good memories made together, and my teammates make it all worth it. Here’s to my Senior year coming up, where I get the amazing opportunity to be captain for Cross Country and Swim (Maybe Track too?? 👀), and lead my teammates for some great final seasons! 🤩 by @jalencanspell
