No surgery, no shaving your tooth down.

Here’s a #minimallyinvasivedentistry solution that you may not know about: #marylandbridge. An older technique that has been brought back with the latest research and technology.

A great solution for younger teens, or anyone not ready for dental implant surgery. The single wing Maryland bridge can provide a minimally invasive way to add a tooth.

Some composite bonding.

I replaced a single central crown due to a failed post.

Admittedly the crown is a little bit lighter than the contralateral tooth. I usually prefer to do symmetrical restorations to get a perfect match.

I’ll create another post to show a customized shade tab technique as well as the photography series I use to capture the shade for the lab.

One of the hardest procedures is matching a single crown to the rest of the teeth.

Every tooth in the mouth has a different color, and our eyes are trained to find symmetry.

I’ve spent a decade trying to improve this process, but the pursuit of perfection never ends.

More Maryland Bridges!

A great option for patients that are too young for implants or adverse to surgery that doesn’t involve shaving down the adjacent teeth.

Utilizing Panavia 21 cement provides nearly twice the bond strength compared to all other resin cements.

Thanks to @dopazo_orthodontics for the amazing orthodontic work!

One of the biggest challenges in #cosmeticdentistry is getting a single tooth to match. Especially if it has been discolored due a root canal.

She had an important event and needed to be able to smile confidently. Two hours later she could smile without shame.

Composite bonding and internal bleaching was used to reverse the stain.

Next we will fabricate some porcelain #veneers for her. Stay tuned.

Today we learned to use the #sprintraymidas.

This new technology will allow us to make stronger more conservative but still budget friendly alternatives to direct composite fillings.
