ICF Jesus First 2026!!!! Was so much fun to do lights again with @monnotastisch , @tim.tschritter and everyone else at FOH. Each team was giving their all for God, including photo team (most of these are taken from them). Looking forward to 2026, trusting God whatever comes, he is with me. by @jamesoleary001

The last few days were a huge highlight at ICF Jesus First Conference! Tech team was amazing, what a joy to worship God, party, and spend the weekend with such great people! Jesus was really put in the center in this conference, both in the messages and worship, the goal is to continue this motto in the New Year and beyond! Happy 2024 everyone! by @jamesoleary001

Tomorrowland 2026. 🥳🔥😎 Tomorrowland is not merely an EDM festival, but a "Gesamtkunstwerk"... from the mainstage and side stages design, to the paths through the gardens fountains, nice dinner with friends, to the fireworks at night and the hundreds of DJs playing all different subgenres of EDM. That such a massive event is so beautiful is crazy, but not an accident. It has some amazing organisers and planners, not to mention all the teams from tech crews to food staff.

Our world is an even more impressive "Gesamtkunstwerk". From glaciers, rivers and oceans, to the DNA which encodes data for proteins that allow our cells and organs to function, and of course the beauty of math and physics. The laws of physics aren't accidental, and neither is our world. We can argue on how, but God created it. And to say otherwise and not believe in him is the kind of disrespect as to say that tomorrowland happens by accident and the workers are fake. by @jamesoleary001

ICF Sunday Night Summercamp 2026. An amazing week spent with old and new friends, worship, new insights and of course lots of fun. So thankful to be a part of such a great community of other christians! by @jamesoleary001

Nice weekend in Paris and at Cercle Festival. Great Venue, music, and tourist stuff. Also nostalgic to growing up on airforce bases.

Next up: Continue writing thesis, Tomorrowland

Also Looking forward to organising the next christian party/festival Eden Culture X VBG in November.

As for actual job after my Master's, God definetely has a plan, asking him everyday but still figuring it out, please pray for me 🙏 by @jamesoleary001

Happy Birthday ICF! So happy to be a part of such an awesome church that worships God and preaches the word in a modern way. ❤️✝️🔥

Note: didn't do lights that day, just took some nice pictures of lights by @jamesoleary001

A day in Lucerne. Thankful to live in Switzerland ❤️🇨🇭 by @jamesoleary001

Blessed and thankful for such a wonderful family, and to travel to cool places like Egypt, not because my parents wanted to go there on vacation, but because they actually live in such a crazy country (only pictures here are of nice resort, actual cairo is not like this). Looking forward to when we live closer though!

I usually prefer to do lights 100% Live, but I had fun programming this song as a cuelist (even though it took a while, and is still not perfect). At first programming lights, or programming data analysis software, or programming anything can appear tedious and boring. And, in a way I think this still is true for me. But practice makes for better and faster programming. Better and faster programming makes the process more enjoyable and rewarding. And by thinking in advance about the music, venue, and atmosphere you want to make (or as a normal software engineer, your end user and their experience), it becomes a true creative process, which makes it slightly more of an Art than doing everything Live.

Thus, it wouldn't make the world less beautiful (or God less loving of his creation), if most of his creation was "pre-programmed". I think he still does lots of things live (responding to prayers, breaking physical laws), but most physical laws he designed from the beginning, and in the most beautiful creative process ever.

Most people want a dream job. To be an artist, a doctor, a pilot, a football player, or even a teacher that isn't in debt. But so many forget to take time to pursue their dream, which doesn't have to be quitting their normal job or investing way too much money in something. Often, there are first steps that can be done, which are not exorbitantly expensive, they just take time and vision. My console is around the same price as my laptop for Uni, software and visualizer is free.

The Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), almost as much of a masterpiece of modern architecture, as the pyramids are a wonder of ancient architecture. by @jamesoleary001
