✨ Get to know me ✨ I thought it was about time I shared a little more about myself! 💫 💭 A few fun facts: 1️⃣ I was born and raised in New York. I started dancing at age 3. I was a shy child and my mom wanted me to meet kids my age. 2️⃣ I got into teaching dance by giving lessons to a male figure skater. 3️⃣ In my free time, I love taking walks, reading, hanging with my family, sending Marco Polos to my bestie, or watching reality tv with my puppy. 4️⃣ I love coffee:) I’m so excited to connect with you! 💬 #GetToKnowMe #HelloIG #Community #Dancer #Danceteacher #Dance #Dancestudio #Ballet #Balletteacher by @jamieskates_ballet

Taking it WAY BACK WHEN… Jamie at age 3 had a dream. Jamie, many years later, helps to foster other dancer’s dreams after having lived hers. Keep going dancers. You’ve got this! by @jamieskates_ballet
Happy National Dance Day🩷 Today, I’m thankful for dance. 🤍 Thank you, dance, for giving me an outlet when I needed one. For introducing me to my husband. For bringing my truest friends into my life. For giving me a safe space to be completely myself. For challenging me, shaping me, and helping me grow. And most of all, for teaching me what it means to love — to love movement, to love others, to love what I do, and to love the life dance has helped me create. Grateful. by @jamieskates_ballet

Another successful summer in Variations class. This summer, dancers learned classical variations from Paquita, Coppelia, Don Quixote and The Sleeping Beauty. Weeks one through five were spent learning and being coached in these variations. Week six was performance week. I fully enjoy sharing my love of this beautiful art form. Well done dancers! #ballet #classicalballet #balletdancer #fullout by @jamieskates_ballet
What an incredible two weeks at our Ballet Summer Intensives at Chesterfield Dance Center! 🩰✨ I am so proud of every dancer who joined me for this year’s intensives. Over the past two weeks, we focused on building strong technique while having so much fun along the way! Our dancers took classes in technique, pre-pointe, pointe, barre fitness, variations, repertoire, acting for dancers, Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT), stretching, ballet history, and even learned the art of creating a beautiful ballet bun. 💗 The dedication, growth, and positive energy these dancers brought to the studio each day was truly inspiring. They worked incredibly hard, supported one another, and made lasting memories. Thank you to everyone who made this intensive such a wonderful success. I feel so grateful to share my love of ballet with each of you. Until next summer… I can’t wait to do it all again! 🌸🩰 #ChesterfieldDanceCenter #SummerIntensive #Ballet #BalletIntensive #FullOut by @jamieskates_ballet
Now that this solo is done being performed, I can share it! Thank you Emily for trusting in my vision while making it your own. What a lucky choreographer I am. “Cry to Me” Music: Cry to Me by Solomon Burke (I do not own the rights to this music). Dancer: @_emilyletourneau @chesterfielddancecenter Thanks for a wonderful season. by @jamieskates_ballet
