Little Jamilah from Jarrow?? Make it make sense!!! 😅😭

Today I was invited to 11 Downing Street as 1 of only 50 female founders from the North East…and I can’t actually wrap my head around it 🥹

No phones allowed inside, so no pictures of what went on in the room…but it was a space filled with incredible women building, leading and creating real impact ✨

And to be invited into that room with @jhpropertyconnect…🏡❤️ that means everything.

From property deals to JH Cares and everything we’re building within our communities, this journey has always been about more than just business.

It’s about purpose.
It’s about people.
It’s about impact.

It was lush meeting @rachelreevesmp and having a chat about Jarrow 😅❤️ as well as where we’re investing across the North East.

Inspiring speech from queen Kim McGuiness, Big time Sara Davies sharing the space with us all 😭 just wow!!! 🔥

I was asked to film a quick vox pop at No.11 and the question was:

“What would you say to your 15 year old self?”

My answer.

No matter what people say about the way you look, your religion, or who you are… never change. Keep being you. Good things will come. ❤️

So so Grateful. Grounded. And still taking it all in 🤍🫶🏽

Thank you so much to Sophie for seeing me, believing in what we’re building and making space for JH Property Connect in a room like that xxx by @jamilahmusic

Just over a year ago, I made one of the biggest decisions of my life 🙏🏽 I decided to truly invest in myself outside of music, outside of comfort, outside of the version of me I had always known and I started a business🥹

A business which I’m really proud to eventually announce! 🙏🏽 A business that allows me to help people every day and do really good things in my community ❤️ >>> @jhpropertyconnect <<<< 🙌🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

We help time poor business owners and investors build portfolios in the North East and at the same time, help sellers sell their homes, giving them an alternative, quicker option than the usual retail market.

To take you back…2024 became a year of deep reflection, discipline and uncomfortable growth. I changed my diet and by that, I mean I changed the books I was reading. I changed the conversations I was having. I changed my network. I changed my goals, what I aimed for and what I believed was possible for me. I spent hours, days & months thinking, planning, questioning, learning…and trusting Allah with a vision I couldn’t yet fully see.

In just over a year, we’ve completed on two properties, with another currently in conveyancing. I’ve helped three families lift a heavy burden from their shoulders. I’ve supported three investors. One of whom trusted me from overseas to begin building their portfolio here in the North East. What better place to invest 🤩?

And what means just as much to me as any deal…is impact.

Because from day one, this was never just about property. It was always about people which is what led to the creation of #JHCares. Our community arm. A way to give back to my community, which I’ve learnt over the last 4 years is the only way to do things!

This Christmas Eve, we are launching our annual and first ever initiative and will be delivering 135 hot meals to families in need and to people experiencing homelessness ❤️ All of this has been made possible by the wonderful restaurants and restaurant owners in the North East that have pledged these meals 😭🙏🏽 Trusted and supported us to help those who need it most!

Please do follow the business page and if you’d like to invest, send me a DM & let me help you❤️ by @jamilahmusic

A real honour sharing the stage with the Legend that is Logan 😭🔥🙏🏽 Sorry, I mean the Controller 😂 my team mate @asaadh1991 & our besties aka Arch Rivals @rickyessex88 & @noddyonamission for the Q&A at the Premiere last night, hosted by @radiotimes 🥹#SpecialMoments 💫

Woiiiii 🤩🙌🏽🤩 The pro pics have landed from the #BritishChambersofCommerce & @nechamberuk Panel at @theglasshouseicm last week and lookkkk at themmmm 😭✨🥹👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

#HonestyMoment … Looking at them now makes me laugh a little ❤️ just because that very morning I had a FULL ON wobbleeeee 😂😭 Like properrr nerves. Nerves bigger than I’ve ever had, even standing in front of a packed out room getting ready to sing my heart out!!

I was about to walk into a room and share a panel with some seriously impressive people and I completely forgot myself.

Thankfully the love of my life gave me a bit of a talking to 😂❤️ prior to me leaving the house and he was right.

We all bring value. We all have different experiences, different perspectives and different things to contribute.

I wasn’t there to be Andy Haldane or the Chief Economist of anything (thank god 😂 hahahaha) or anybody else on that panel. I was there to be me. Founder of @jhpropertyconnect to talk about what it actually feels like to build a small business in the North East.

To talk about confidence and growth. To talk about the challenges our investors and clients are facing and to represent the people who trust JHPC to work for them. That part matters to me more and more.

Every panel, every keynote, every room we get invited into, I want to use it properly and I promise I will!!

I want to remember who I am, why I’m there and who I’m speaking for ✨ Our clients! Sometimes that looks like finding the right property. Sometimes it’s negotiating, analysing numbers or helping get a refurb over the line.

And sometimes it’s taking what we hear from investors and small businesses into rooms where those conversations are happening.

So yes…it feels good to confess that I was absolutely terrified 😂 but I’m sooo so glad that I had the opportunity to accept the wonderful invitation & I walked into the room anyway ❤️

P.s I see you mammmm 🤩 by @jamilahmusic

Yesterday was perfect 🥹🙏🏽😭

We had our @jhpropertyconnect #JHCares #CommunityMealInitiative and got to once again partner with @peopleskitchennewcastle in Newcastle!! ❤️✨

These guys were the first charity to work with us on our initiatives and played a big part in the good we were able to do on Christmas Eve 2025 🙏🏽

If you don’t know their work, they support homeless and vulnerable people and help fight hunger and loneliness for locals in need.

At the end of every month, they host a movie 🍿 night for the Friends Of 🥹🙏🏽 Bingo (Mam, I was buzzing hahaahaha), cakes and I’m over the moon that we got to provide 65 meals to those who needed it yesterday!

We loved serving and spending the afternoon with you all and are really thankful that we will now be providing food once a month for the foreseeable future 🤩🤩🤩✨ xxxx

Eternal thanks to our restaurant partners as without you, this wouldn’t be possible xx by @jamilahmusic

The League Magazine
Issue 002 : Beyond The Name Badge

When filming ended on 007: Road to a Million, one question stayed with Jamilah Hassan: if an opportunity landed in her lap, what would she build with it?

Her answer leads Beyond the Name Badge, the second issue of The League Magazine.

Inside, Perry Wilson writes about the six months it took to fill The League table. Kay McCready shares what happened after she became exceptionally good at surviving.

Ammar Mirza CBE remembers the first £2 he earned and the lesson that has stayed with him ever since.

Nina Walton writes about the loss that gave her the courage to start a business. Liz Atkin finds the purpose that had been hiding across a long and varied career. Michelle Minnikin examines the conditioning behind years of burnout and people-pleasing.

Jane Fisher tells us what a heart crisis forced her to reconsider. Anthony Boyce shares a hard-earned lesson about trust, warning signs and the true cost of an unwritten agreement.

Nine people. Nine stories you would never learn from a name badge.

Read them for the choices they made, the things they would do differently and the lessons you might carry into your own life.

About last night 🥹❤️✨

The #MercuryAwards hit our beautiful city of NCL for the second year in a row!!! 12 artists shortlisted for #BestAlbumOfTheYear ! Two were Geordie acts and one of them was Jade 🥹😭❤️ Our girl!!!

Music is such a beautiful thing and seeing people from all walks of life, not just the music industry, championing these artists in our home town…ahhh I proper had goosebumps!! I also slylyyy wanted to get on stage and sing a number 😅😂😂😂😂

Music, we love you!! We DO!!! by @jamilahmusic

Ahhh what a morning 😭🙌🏽🙌🏽

So so gassed to be asked to join the #BritishChamberOfCommerce and the @nechamberuk at the iconicccc @theglasshouseicm in Gateshead for their Pre Budget Economic Briefing!!

A realll honour to be invited to be on the panel alongside big hitters Andy Haldane, Natasha McDonough, Professor Bernd Brandl and Edward Twiddy, with the conversation chaired by legendary Graeme Whitfield to discuss ‘Turning Insight into Action’ ✨

What an incredible group of people to share a stage with!

We discussed the challenges facing businesses, confidence in the economy, the upcoming Budget and what needs to happen to support growth.

One of the points I raised was something I’m experiencing firsthand as the founder of @jhpropertyconnect.

To grow my business, I need to grow my team. But to afford to grow my team, I first need to grow my business. It’s a real catch-22!

I’ve built @jhpropertyconnect alongside working full-time, investing my own time, money and energy into establishing the business. I have so many ambitions for where I want to take it, but getting from that initial start-up stage to being able to employ people and expand isn’t always straightforward.

I also spoke about the importance of having confidence in our economy, because that confidence doesn’t just affect the decisions I make as a business owner. It also affects the confidence I can give my clients when they’re considering investing here in the North East.

And there’s so much to be confident about!

We’re seeing hugeee amounts investment and regeneration taking place across the region, creating opportunities and giving people real reasons to look at the North East as somewhere to invest.

I loved every single minute of today 🥹 and I can’t thank the Chamber enough for inviting me to take part in such an important conversation ❤️🙏🏽 Thank you thank you thank youuu x by @jamilahmusic

WAHHHHHHH!!!! 😭😭😭❤️ Mam & Dad 😭😭😭😭 I’VE BEEN SHORTLISTED!!!! 🏆 🤲🏾

Nahhh 😭😭😭 this can’t be real!! The family group chat isn’t going to believe 😭😭❤️

Shortlisted for the @nechamberuk #InspiringWomenInBusinessAwards 2026, in such a special speciallll category;

✨ Inspiring Woman in Business – Small Business ✨

When I started JH Property Connect Ltd🏡, I proper prayed for what I wanted to build. Not just a property business, but something that would create opportunities for others, help people build better lives for themselves and their families, give back to the community here that I love and most importantly, create a legacy for my son. Something really special ❤️

I loved everyyyy single second of this journey over the last near 2 years. Invested so much into me, my education and this business, and I’m still very veryyy much at the beginning of where I want to go.

To have this wonderful journey recognised by such an incredible platform such as the #NECC & to top it, be alongside such insanelyyyy inspiring female powerhouses in business across the North East 😭🫶🏽 genuinely means the world to me.

I’m so proud of what we’re building, and even more excited about what’s still to come.

Thank youuuu @nechamberuk & sponsor #BishopAucklandCollege for this recognition and congratulations to all the other women who have been shortlisted 👏🏽 Gasseddd I’ll be able to celebrate with you all in November! ❤️

A proper mad place, and I feel like the more I grow, the madder it gets 😭😂 I can’t remember the last time (before September) when I sat, pure still, no music, no phone, no tv, no distractions, closed my eyes and got comfortable with my thoughts! 💭
