On March 11, 2026, I said goodbye to my grandmother a strict, strong, and firm woman in her ways, but also loving, caring, and gentle. She is where I got my stubbornness from. And I’ve come to realize that being stubborn isn’t a bad thing. From what I saw, she never let anyone lead her down the wrong path because she stood strong in what she believed. I like to say she was part of the last batch of real grandmas out there they don’t make them like her anymore 😭😂 After her passing, I felt lost for a while. But this morning, I woke up with a sense of peace and calmness that I haven’t felt since that day. Now I can truly say I know everything is going to be okay. Thank you to my sister/friend Asia she took me to the hospital and sat with me for hours while I said my goodbyes, because I was too distraught to even drive. Special thanks to my close friends Alysa, Caleb, Ashley, and Charity checked on me every single day, making sure I was okay. Thank you to Galilea and Filiberto for allowing me to be vulnerable and praying for me. And to my family thank you for always being there, even while you’re going through your own pain. I love you all, and I wouldn’t trade you for anything. Let this be a reminder to hold your loved ones a little longer and a little tighter. Tell them you love them while they can still say it back. Make that call because you never know when you won’t be able to. You will always be loved, and I will always miss you. Love you, Grandma… and tell my grandpa I said “heyyyyy MC.” by @jamyahjanae
