POSTS STORIES REELS

With every prep comes new lessons, new perspectives, and a stronger mindset. Every competition builds a little more mental fortitude than the last.

There are some incredibly hard days during this journey, but that’s exactly why I love it! Bodybuilding is a constant reminder that I can do hard things and that I’m capable of so much more than I ever thought possible. 💪🏽

I once again had the time of my life with @naturalcanadaproshow and I’m sending a huge Thank You to @simonlauphotoca at @muscleinsider for these stage photos!

Pure Gratitude 💜
I achieved every goal I set; reaching a new all-time low stage weight I never thought possible, while significantly improving my core strength. My core is over 4 inches tighter than my last stage appearance; by far 1 of my proudest accomplishments.
On top of that, I’m incredibly honoured to have brought home the gold medal & earned another Ben Weider qualification. I’m deeply grateful for the work, growth, and support that made it possible.
None of this happens alone…
To Rudy & Liz @naturalcanadaproshow Thank You! This event is something truly special. You make every athlete feel like a superhero. Because of you, I feel like I’ve found my bodybuilding ‘home’.
To my Coach, @darrencmehling 15 years is hard to put into words. Thank You for being my guiding light, believing in me through every season, and always seeing my potential even when I don’t.
Hannah @awaistintime my Core/Vacuum Coach, I don’t even know where to start. Our weekly sessions transformed my physique and, more importantly, rebuilt my core strength for life. I’m SO grateful for you!
To Gloria @quarterturnposing 🙏🏽for creating the suit of my dreams. The all-purple IRIS theme made this prep deeply personal, honouring my eldest daughter Iris in every detail. 💜
To my @purevitalabs Supplement Family, 🙏🏽 for fueling me with quality products I trust as a natural athlete. Your support brings me to the stage.
To @christinam_glam 🙏🏽for making me feel so beautiful on stage. Your talent, accommodations, and attention to detail mean so much!
To Mummy, 🙏🏽 for caring for the girls so they could make beautiful memories while I chased mine.
Chris, my Husband, my rock, my biggest supporter, my everything. Thank You for your unconditional love, patience, and for being there through every early morning, challenge, and hangry moment. I couldn’t do this without you!
To my Friends & Baby Girls, 🙏🏽for every message, comment, and word of encouragement. I feel so supported and SO blessed to be your friend & mommy!
I always say my gratitude muscle is my strongest flex.
Today, this couldn’t be more true.
Words will never fully express my gratitude.
Thank You! by @janessa.leanne.roy

Thank You.
This weekend was nothing short of magical & honestly, I’m not even sure what my favorite part was.

Maybe it was the fact that Chris and I were able to escape reality for a few short days and immerse ourselves in the sport we’re both so passionate about. Chris, thank you! For being my partner through it all; in life, in love, and in the grind! I love you.

Maybe it was having my coach backstage with me for the very first time. @darrencmehling thank you for talking & walking me through every moment and helping me navigate the excitement with confidence. Your presence back there made a world of difference, and I feel more prepared than ever for what’s ahead.

Maybe it was the history of it all; years ago, Toronto was where I started my pro-debut, and now, fast forward to present times: Canada’s first-ever Natural Pro Show, and I was there!
I finally feel like I have a space in bodybuilding that truly feels like home. Rudy & @thetorontonaturals thank you for helping to make this possible. What you’re building matters!

Maybe it was the fact that this prep was the smoothest one yet, and I peaked just right. Yes, our house flooded less than a month out. Yes, we lost our home gym. Yes, it was a tragedy & was beyond stressful. But this sport has taught me that I am strong. I am resilient. I am never alone.
To our friends, our support network, I couldn’t do this without you. Chris and I promised: when we rebuild, we’re doing it better. Bigger. Stronger. And we mean that literally, starting with our new piece of equipment from @bellsofsteel Thank you for being part of our comeback story.

Maybe it’s the fact that I have the three best little cheerleaders a mom could ask for — cheering me on every. single. day. Iris, Asia, Jacy… thank you. You remind me every day why I do this. You 3 are my world.

Maybe it’s the fact that I left Toronto with so many goodies, I actually had to leave some of my own stuff behind just to get them all home! Toronto, thank you, for the energy, the memories, and the full suitcase.

Or maybe… it’s the fact that I qualified for the @benweidernaturals

Clients have been asking about the similarities/differences between @purevitalabs IsoCleaar & the newest addition, IsoGold MPS5….
So I created a little comparison chart so it’s easier to understand :)

“But Janessa… aren’t you concerned about bringing in a NEW food this close to show time?”

Nope! Not when I know what I’m putting into my body.

As a natural bodybuilder, I’m pretty particular about my nutrition, especially this close to stepping on stage.
I have recently learned to not just look at protein content; it’s important to look at the whole ingredients, digestion, and how a product can support my training & recovery.

Here’s why PVL’s NEW IsoGold MPS5 caught my attention:

- 5 protein sources: A combination of proteins with different digestion and absorption rates.

- Fast AND sustained release: Instead of just a quick hit of protein, MPS5 is designed to deliver amino acids over a longer period of time. That combination of faster and slower protein delivery is something I really appreciate during contest prep.

- 1 billion CFU of probiotics: Added gut-health support is always a bonus, especially when nutrition is so structured.

- Easy to work into my routine: It’s convenient, tastes amazing, and gives me another way to meet my daily protein needs without adding another complicated meal.

I’m not interested in changing things just for the sake of changing them. I’m interested in understanding what I’m using and WHY.

New product? Yes. Random decision? Absolutely not.

@purevitalabs has definitely given me something new to get excited about this close to the stage!

Three different schools this week, a million things on the go, and now today, I’m subbing the Friday before Halloween… followed by kidz play dates & parties tonight! So you KNOW I need all the help I can get! 🤪

And let’s not forget I’m just 2 weeks out from showtime, so the extra support is definitely welcome!

Truth be told, I don’t just use DOMIN8 for my workouts. Sometimes I use it to help me power through those extra-long days when work, training, kids and prep all collide.

TGIF! Let’s DANCE through this one! 💃 🎃

Multi-tasking at its finest! (Getting my pump on while educating myself on some of the best products on the market). 🙌🏽
Because if I’m going to use them, I want to know WHY they work, not just that they taste good! 😋😅

PVL literally has me running home again so I can finally try the new IsoGold MPS5 protein! Had it for tonight’s post workout!

Watch out folx, it’s a new label AND a new formula, & I just can’t say enough…

I’ve been spending the last little bit learning more about this new technology, trust me… I’ll be sharing A LOT. ☺️

So, what makes it different?

- 1 billion CFU of shelf-stable probiotics to support gut health.

And the cherry on top - It’s more affordable, too!

Better technology, delicious flavour, added gut health support, and a price point that makes it easier on your wallet? I mean, COME ON.

BREAKING NEWS: YOUR PROTEIN JUST GOT AN UPGRADE. 💛

Introducing @purevitalabs IsoGold MPS 5…
And here’s why it’s different!

- 5 complete protein sources: designed to deliver amino acids at different speeds, from fast to slow digesting.

- Leuvate: a protein multiplier designed to help trigger muscle protein synthesis faster and support a higher MPS response than protein alone. (MPS stands for Muscle Protein Synthesis. In simple terms, it’s the process your body uses to repair muscle and build new muscle tissue).

- Fast to sustained amino acid delivery: helps feed your muscles beyond that initial quick-digesting window.

- Probiotics: Helps support a healthy gut with beneficial bacteria.

As a natural bodybuilding pro, I take my training and nutrition very seriously & I’m always interested in products that look beyond the basics.
It’s not just about how much protein you get; it’s about what’s in the formula, too.

Essentially, it’s protein - upgraded!

I’m excited to share this launch with you, so keep your eyes open for more. 👀

I’m celebrating already because yesterday I met my goal of hitting a new low & today, my doc confirmed that the eyes are both still healthy & strong.

I have so much to be grateful for and trust me, I am!
