One painting can change how you feel the moment you walk through your front door.

You catch a glimpse of it and know you’re home. Art has a way of grounding us, reminding us of what we love.

And there’s nothing quite like that feeling.

CA MODERN Series. Original paintings + commissions.

It’s not just a painting.

BLOOMS are abstract florals built from my personal airline boarding passes with modern structure, clean edges, and negative space placed on purpose.

A collector told me last week: “These BLOOMS aren’t pretty. They’re powerful.” I loved hearing that. It’s why I create.

Save this if you love modern, architectural art.

You could get lost in this CA MODERN painting. And that’s the idea.

When I paint, I think about what makes you stop and look at the painting a little longer. The movement, the bold colors, those intentional marks and scrapes. All the little details you discover up close.

And when you’re that close, everything around you seems to stop.

That’s the connection I want you to have with my art. You get lost for a moment in a painting you love.

This painting isn’t what you think.

Those big, bold black shapes? They were inspired by the letters, numbers and graphics on my personal airline boarding passes!

Thousands of miles. So many cities and countries around the world. And a stack of boarding passes that inspired an entire series of paintings.

When you catch a glimpse of one of these paintings, you’re drawn to all that movement and energy. But it’s the backstory that makes you smile.

And to think it all started with an idea I had at 35,000 feet. Crazy, right?

Swipe to see how this painting came together.

Pale pink and lavender have a way of looking delicate. But put them next to black, and something entirely different happens.

That’s what I love about this CA MODERN.

Your eye moves between the colors, the unexpected angles, and the shapes that seem to change depending on where you look.

And here’s something I’ve learned from showing my paintings to collectors. People don’t always see what I see.

I love that. Because a painting becomes even more interesting when someone brings their own interpretation to it.

What do you see when you look at this painting?

I can spend months creating a painting. And then someone falls in love with it in seconds.

I know that look. I’ve seen it many times, and I know right away when a collector has found their painting.

It’s that simple. You just know.

That’s what amazes me. I paint what moves me. And then it moves someone else.

For CA MODERN, so much of that inspiration comes from Northern California. The mountains, the ocean, the bay, and my years living in San Francisco. There’s a little bit of California in every painting.

Some things just make your day better.

A BLOOM painting can be one of them. You walk through your home, catch a glimpse of it, and remember exactly why you fell in love with it. Just like that, you feel that little lift in your spirits all over again.

The colors, the movement of the large petals, the energy. Every time you see it, you smile.

And the best part? You get to enjoy that feeling every day.

This is LAVENDER BLOOM. Swipe for a little glimpse of me painting it.

What if two unrelated parts of your life suddenly came together?

That happened to me.

I’ve used my personal airline boarding passes to create several painting series, but this one surprised me.

As I moved their graphic shapes around, I suddenly saw gesture. Movement. The human body.

Dance.

Years of it came rushing back.

And there it was.
The Ballet Series.

Once you see the movement in these paintings, it’s hard not to see it again.

If my Boarding Pass Series catches your eye, reach out to me. I’d love to help you find yours.

Some things you never forget..

You know that feeling when you see something so striking, you can’t shake it?

That’s what happened with this painting.

I created it from my airline boarding passes, and somewhere through those shapes, I saw her.

A woman’s head. Her hair blowing behind her.

I know exactly where I was when I brought her to life. This painting will always stay with me.

She lives with a collector now, but whenever I come across an image of her, I see her all over again.

Do you see her?

Once you do, she’s hard to forget.

You should love what you come home to.

Choose the painting you can’t stop thinking about. The one you want to see every day.

The one you catch out of the corner of your eye as you walk through the room.

The collectors who chose this BLOOM love purple. I smile whenever I get a text from them: “We love, love, love it!”

That’s how I want you to feel about the art you live with.

Who says geometric shapes can’t be sexy?

The stacking. The balance. The way the shapes play off each other.

That’s CA MODERN.

Hang it where you see it every day.

And you’ll love it again and again and again.

This CA MODERN is sold.

If CA MODERN is your thing, reach out to me. I’d love to hear from you.

IT’S WHAT HAPPENS NEXT
THAT MATTERS.

For months, a painting is with me in the studio.

But its real life begins with you.

You’ll hang it where you see it every day. It’ll become part of your home, your life, and the memories that happen around it. And every time you see it, you’ll love it all over again.

That’s the result I care most about.

If a BLOOM, CA MODERN, Squiggly or Cut Rose has caught your eye, reach out to me. Let’s make it yours.
