After 11 years and 5 months since my private, I earned my IFR rating for my private pilot license ๐Ÿชฝ!!! I have been flying VFR flights since I earned my private pilot license on 10/18/2014. It's been amazing! However, I had an opportunity I couldn't pass up to continue my education and begin working on my IFR rating almost ten years later on 10/1/2024. It was a lot of work to get back into the mode to study after all these years. I'm happy to say, all the work finally paid off! I did it! Thanks to everyone who supported me along the way!!! Now into my Commercial and then my Commercial Flight Instructor licenses! Here's to fifteen years and six months of legally getting high! Now to finally take a moment and breathe! If you're curious about learning to fly ๐Ÿชฝ, message me, or head to @gorge_winds_aviation and talk to one of the amazing pilots we have there ready to teach you what you need to know! by @jasongetsaround
If all goes well, tomorrow afternoon I fly out to Nicaragua, I will be a certified IFR rated pilot! Since October '24, I started up flight training again to earn my IFR rating (I'll be able to fly through the clouds) and it hasn't been easy! It took longer than I expected, however, my instructor and I think that I've crammed enough knowledge into my brain ๐Ÿง  for me to complete this tomorrow morningโ€“let's hope that's the case! I began flying on August 30th, 2010. Earned my Private Pilot ๐Ÿชฝ license at @gorge_winds_aviation on October 18th, 2014. I've flown hundreds of folks these last ten years before beginning my IFR training, and it has been amazing! The time has come for me to get this next rating and continue to climb up high towards my flying ๐Ÿชฝ goals! Please send a lot of positive energy in the direction of the Troutdale Airport tomorrow morning! Wish me luck ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ€! by @jasongetsaround
12-years of gorgeous views like these with friends! Today, twelve years ago I earned my private pilot license! 10/18/2014! I was 30.5 years old (4/18 is my birthday ๐ŸŽˆ). Just a young pup who had no idea that he would have flown multiple hundreds of people sharing the skies over these twelve years! I started flying over 16 years ago on 8/30/2010! Thanks to all those who have trusted me with their lives over this aviation journey ๐Ÿชฝ! What a wild and epic adventure! Much love ๐ŸคŸ๐Ÿผ, -Jason by @jasongetsaround
